Mattel  Disney Princess Ariel Fountain and Bubble Boat Playset

I bought this & the pkg of little mermaids for my gr.daughter's Christmas 2011. She loved playing with it, even when not in the tub.

My 4 year old girl loves this toy. It floats (barely) and does what it says it does. The parts (swing, slide, decorations) tend to fall off easily but she can put them back on by herself. There is only a little spot in the back to put about a tablespoon of bubble solution wich is easily lost or diluted. Would have been nice to actually have a reseverior that closed. Also do not set this on your floor if there is bubble solution inside it will leak out! You have to add the bubbles your way the squeeze bottle displayed is not included. It is heavy for what it does. I have parts to my aquarium that blows water and they don't weigh near as much (and that's before you add batteries). But all in all it does what it said it does and my daughter is happy. That's all that really matters. Plus I like it better than the water toys that mount on walls. My walls barely hold suction cups and they all eventually fall and those toys can only be used in the tub. I look forward to the summer months when my little girl can take it to the pool. Four stars for a good toy - minus one star for what the toy could have been if an ounce of thought and effort had been put into it.

A princess bath toy? Yeah! My daughter was so excited to get this for her birthday!! She started playing with it right away and the first problem I noticed was that she couldn't get the pieces (e.g. the slide or the princess on the swing) to stay in place but it wasn't too big of a deal. But within the first week of owning this, the toy started turning on and off on it's own (and we don't live in a haunted house! lol). I had to start taking the batteries out in order to get it to stay off. Finally, within 3 weeks of buying it, it simply stopped working. I tried new batteries but nothing worked. Waste of money. Blowing bubbles in the tub were more fun and cost a lot less money. ;-)

We opened this today for my daughter's birthday.  It is simply a disaster.  The mermaids (we purchased the additional mermaid pack) don't sit on the swing and the swing doesn't stand up.  It's so disappointing. Every time you get it going, the whole thing topples over.  I would NEVER recommend this to anyone

My daughter *really* wanted this for her birthday. She didn't get it but ended up using her birthday money for it. It was a complete waste of 20.00. The boat sinks after a few mintues, the bubbles don't work, Ariel's tail comes off everytime you try to put her on the swing, the slide doesn't stay on well. Even after all those she still wanted to keep it. Unfortunately the biggest problem was the battery compartment. No matter how much we tightened it, water still got into the battery compartment.
