WORTH MORE THAN THE PRICE...WELL MORE!!!!!!!!! September 30, 2009
I PURCHASED BOOTS VERY SIMILAR TO THESE AT THE HIGH-END RETAILER ******..WORE THEM A FEW TIMES AND THE HEEL BOTTOMS CAME OFF!!!!!!!!! CALLED ******...NO SATISFACTION...!!!!!!!!!! SAW THESE TOOK A GAMBLE..THEY ARE FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!...EXTREMELY COMFY AND VERY SMART-LOOKING!!!!!!!!!!..WISH THEY CAME IN MORE COLOURS~!! COST A FRACTION OF WHAT I SPENT FOR THE PAIR AT ******...LOOK JUST AS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..JUDY FROM ELMONT..N.Y.

Does not give the calf measurement December 16, 2010
I love boots. There I've said it. My quest is to find boots that fit. I have a relatively small shoe size - depending on the brand and style, I have worn anything from a 5.5 - 7. My normal, go-to size lately has been 6.5. Boots that have no calf measurement, I have to cross my fingers and hope that there is some stretch to them. The pictured boot, doesn't show the mentioned "side zip". I was holding out that it would be the half zip, where the zipper is in place just to let you get your foot in, being that it's such a tall boot. No such luck. This is a full, zipper starts at the ankle and closes at the very tip top of the boot. There's no stretch, no give. I would estimate that if your calf is larger than a 12, you're not gettin' in these. The foot part, was true to size and I was able to wear this 6.5 comfortably with thicker socks. Also, the buckles are not unbucklable (to allow for any larger shaft).

Pros:
Gorgeous color,gorgeous style,easy to put on,very comfortableI love these boots! They go with lots- looks great over jeans/leggings or with a dress/skirt. I wear them all the time, and they are sooooo comfy, I can stand in them all day! I get lots of compliments on them.

fake wood print on heel wears offI was looking for a nice pair of stylish, tall brown boots. I checked a dozen other stores. Everyone else had pointy toes, heels that were too high or skinny, or just generally ugly stuff. I went to Sears, I tried these on, and I bought them. The heel is a great height and a great shape, so it's very comfortable to walk on (even run on). The full-zip side makes them very easy to get on. The toe is round and comfortable. The lining helps them breathe, the elastic insert at the top lets them bend, and the rubber sole gives them great traction. Every time I wear them, I get a compliment. The only real problem I've had is that the fake wood print on the plastic heel wears off a little if it gets repeatedly rubbed in the same place (a little on the back of my driving foot, and a little on the front of the heel where i rest them on chairs), but that complaint aside, I've never seen quite as attractive a shoe anywhere else, and with the supreme comfort, I'm very pleased. I've been looking for a pair of black boots... and I'm going back to buy the Winona in black. Love these shoes!
