Purchased stand on sale to accomodate new HDTV.Price was very good & looks way more expensive than it actually was,very substantial.Got most of it put together by myself...just needed extra paid of hands to align bottom at end. Very happy with price,look & ease of assembly.Would definitely recommend.

A REAL PIECE OF GARBAGE...DO NOT BUY November 25, 2009
I saw this stand on sale and it looked nice...the reviews seemed OK...so I ordered it for an LCD that is being deilvered this month.
The stand came a few days ago. The box, as others have reported, was damaged. However, all the pieces seemed to be there. I am pretty good at putting things together...have some experience...so I was not worried about getting it assembled.
I got through the first couple of steps OK but then when it came time to put the base on the unit, the wooden dowels shredded and were no longer capable of fitting in the holes. It turns out the holes were too small.
This thing is a piece of JUNK. I cannot imagine how anybody could have had a good experience with it.
I called Sears for a return and they are now giving me the run-around. Do not waste your time or money with this item. The only reason I gave it one star is because zero stars was not an option.

Piece of junk.The stand arrived the other day. I unpacked it a couple of hours ago and began assembling it.. The instructions appeared to be complete and all parts included. So far so good.
I began assembling this stand and when I got to one of the final steps (aligning the screws and the dowls to the holes in the bottom, most of the wooden dowls shredded.
The stand is unuseable, and Sears is extremely uncooperative about exchanging and/or replacing it.
Disgraceful. The last thing I will ever buy from Sears.com!
The only reason I gave it one star is because zero stars is not an option.
All the other reviews appear bogus. Sears seems to be trying to block me from posting this review as it will not go through repeatedly.

shipping cost,expect minor damageVery sturdy and solid piece of furniture. Good value for the money, shipping cost was high $47.00. If shipping for store pick up was available this would be an excellent deal. Package arrived slightly damaged and unit had some dents on the bottom edge. Easy to assemble, pay attention to the directions when it comes to chosing top and bottom sides as it can be assembled two different ways, rounded edge or striaght. I painted mine a gloss black vs the original silver.

Overall very satisfied with stand and would recommend to others
Postive - extremely sturdy, well packed, functional, assembly was accurate, and great price (69.00)
Negative - box was beat to sh** when it arrived and I feared parts were lost (not). Rounded side of top had small knick out of bottom edge and small imperfection in finish on that edge as well. Both of these could have been due to shipping damage. Instructions a little vague concerning assembly of reversible edge top. I wish it had been available in black
