DPI, Inc  GPX MW151BU 4 GB Flash MP3 Player - Blue

I have all my files in mp3 96k format and it plays them fine, except one error I got the other day. I reset the unit by taking the battery out. Not as loud as I had hoped it would be, I owned the MW240BU and it was a lot louder.

At first I was upset because I thought I wasted my money. But then I messed with it a little and now it works perfectly fine. It says error when you get to a certain song because it's not in the right format. go to this website: audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp3 and convert all of your files to the mp3 or WMA format. After I did that, I still had the error problem. So what I did was kept track of what songs were before the error. then i just looked at it on the computer and took out the error songs. make sure the order of songs on the mp3 player are mostly the same order as your music folder. now get rid of the error song and try to find a better download or try converting it again. I did that and now my mp3 player works fine and theres nothing wrong with it. no more error screen, no more messing up, just a simple mp3 player like i wanted. It's only a peice of jusk if you dont use it right. Its perfectly fine If you have the right files.

This product already broke

I have used an older inexpensive GPX MP3 player for several years, the type you plug an SD card into. It wasn't fancy with FM radio, audio record or jpeg/video - it just palyed MP3s. I figured GPX would pull thorough again and I decided to ignore all the other complainst about how it errors out after the first song. Well, I should have heeded the warnings because this unit did exactly the same thing! The FTC should investigate GPX to see if they intend to deliver products they advertise since it appears these unit consistently do not work properly. I can not say anything good about it since it only plays one song and that even sounds worse than my older unit. The buttons are very hard to use, you have to feel around for them and they are very small and the tactile action is almost impossible to feel - you feel you are pressing on  small bump. Overall I would give this product an F-minus, absolutely worthless piece of junk. I will never buy another GPX product and my advice is that you stay away from them as well unless they get their act together.

I bought two of these for my daughters' Easter presents. Neither one of them will play. We downloaded at least fifty songs on each player. Both will play the first song, and then read ERROR and shut down. They are going back to the store first thing tomorrow. Very disappointing.

Had this thing for a month now. I expected poor quality but I didn't care, I was using it at work as an expendable mp3 player and I'm now regretting that choice. It's easy to load mp3 on, but it plays everything in it's own order now how you set up the music to be played. That's minor now, at a 4Gb memory I could put enough music on it to last the week. Too bad when I shut it off at break it forgets where it last was, this wouldn't be a problem if I could search through folders to find where it was last but you can't. You can only advance one track at a time. It's junk, plain and simple junk. And now it doesn't even turn on. Avoid this brand mp3 player at all costs, go pay a little more for something better.

This awesome, nice Mp3players has been my buddy. The buttons are easy, and very easy to download your music to. It can contain 4 gb which is a lot. You can download 2,000 songs which is A LOT!!!! It is also shaped so that you can hold in your hand very easily and comfortable. This Mp3 player is going to be your best buddy too. So why not buy it now?

Returned it for a 2nd one. WTH. that was gas money wasted. I will read File Name Error, you push play File Name Error again. So you have to turn it off n back on and wait to hear one song then the next song wont play File Name Error. Piece of JUNK!!!!!

Pretty nice little player. It uses one triple A battery, so there is no need to charge it, and it won't loose the holding capacity as it usualy happens to the internal batteries. You should change the mp3 file name if is too long. I also wish that it had a belt clip.

I ripped different mp3's from the same source CD, using the same software.  Some played ok; some, inexplicably, gave error messages.  I had to remove the battery to turn the unit off.  After a couple of phone calls to GPX's 800 number, even the technical adviser told me to take it back.
