Compact and easy to use. March 16, 2010
I have this at work and love it so when I needed to get something for my mother to play her CD's and cassettes on I chose this. The sound is good for the size, the buttons make it very easy to use, and the compact size fits almost anywhere. She likes it much better than her old one which was bigger but had poor sound quality and very confusing buttons.

For the price that I paid and with the Sony name I thought that I would get a better sounding product... I ended up adding my computer external speakers to make it sound better. Other than that all the functions work as intended and I have no other complaints.

Sound Quality,CompactThis radio is very light (without batteries) but provides excellent sound. I really appreciate being able to play cassettes and CDs. The radio is able to bring in even weak stations very clearly. Excellent purchase.

Does not play MP'3's!Got this boombox primarily because I needed something that would play MP-3's and the description clearly indicated this unit would do this. When I got the unit home, I immediately tried the MP-3 I had and it would not play! Tried a regular CD and it played perfectly. Re-tested twice with same result. Am going to return this.

None!I bought this last night after bringing back a GPX system I had bought the day before. This is a vast improvement to say the least. Built in Bass boost, enough volume to play my guitar to, and outstanding tone. My CD's sound great on this system. I'm a musician who uses CD backing tracks to play my guitar to, and this does the job. You can't go wrong with Sony as far as I'm concerned.
