Sony  FM/AM 2 Band Pocket Radio, 1 radio

Handy with a nice price.

I was very disappointed when I received this item. I read all the reviews before purchasing this item and they were all excellent, plus Sony usually has excellent quality products. The tone is terrible and I can't get any of the stations on FM that I usually listen too. The same for AM, can't get stations I normally listen too. I would not purchase this product again, nor would I recommend it. One plus for this radio is that the batteries last a long time - 8 days so far - with the radio on almost constantly.

Sony radio's are the only battery operated radio's that I will buy because they pull in distant stations.

I love this radio.  Knowing it was a Sony and I had Sony radios in the past I was pretty sure the quality was going to be there.  And it is.  Both AM and FM reception is good.  I can receive the outlying and weaker stations pretty good on both bands.  I always keep it in my pocket to keep up on news and events wherever I go.

This is a wonderful item we purchased. I bought it for my 86 year old father who lives in a nursing home. He was having trouble operating the bigger radio he had and couldn't run all the buttons. This one is perfect! 2 buttons and very easy for him to use. Thank you for the wonderful radio.

Forget the Ipod, The walkman, Sirius and everything else. Before those came along transistor radios ruled the world. You can listen to music, news, talk radio, even church services (I can live without that one). And this is the old school version that works like a charm, and it's only about 12 bucks. I give this small AM FM Pocket radio 5 stars and I think that says it all.Sound is great for small radio and signal strength on both channels is excellent.Hats off to Sony on this one.

I've had this radio for at least 5 years & it's still working. Very handy size and seems to go a long time on 2 AA batteries.

The sound is good for such a small radio. Carrying strap is nice. I would buy one again.

I really enjoy how compact and mult-faceted this unit is. Also for a brand name you can not go wrong on the price and functionality. All around a great buy and find for a Sony product of this magnitude. You probably do not need a warranty on this but if it gives you peace of mind you might as well.
