I purchased a new flat screen TV from Sears about 4 or 5 months ago, and was recommended an antenna that was not quite what an HD Flat Screen TV needed. I would continuously have to get up and move the antenna to a different position each time I would change the channel. With the Phillips Amplified Indoor Antenna, I can set it in one place and change channels all day long without moving from my position. Easy to install, easy to set up, and works perfectly. Thank you Sears!

This antenna might be nice if you are in the shadow of the towers broadcasting the signals but if you are more than 15 miles from the signal, then you're probably not going to receive a sognal worth watching.

We have all four major networks represented within a 15 mile radius of our house and all we get is Fox and ABC. The others just cannot be pulled in despite our best efforts.

I bought this for my grandparents since they were getting horrible reception with their old rabbit ears. Being in a 60 year old apartment, not all these new "digital" signals make it to the TV. On high amplification, tv stations would cut in and out. With this antenna you basically have to set it and forget it. All channels come in beautifully.

Any antenna is dependent on the distance from the transmitter and the obstacles between you and the antenna (a building or trees). This antenna worked so well that I did away with the big amplified antenna in my attic. This just sits on the wall or on a table.

I live about 20 miles from a local TV transmission tower.  When I just used it inside, not near a window, I wasn't able to pick up any signal.  However when I moved it near my window, I received crystal clear reception and picked up 12 local digital channels.  I live in a 3 floor apartment complex and I happen to live on the 2nd floor.  Putting it near a window is a must if you live in a similar situation as I do. 

I bought the older version (only difference mine is silver).

I am waiting for ATT uverse to get installed, its going to be 2 weeks, so I picked up this antenna. It has exceeded my expectations. It picked up 10 hd channels and they all look great.  My only tip is to place it near a window. My first channel scan I had it behind my tv, it only picked up 6 signals. I moved it closer to a window and it picked up 4 more stations. I live in a small market (Jackson Michigan) and its more stations that I knew we had here. Money well spent!

I live 38 miles away from the major broadcasting antenna in the Denver area and I was tired of paying cable or satellite bills so I installed this indoor antenna and I have 20+ stations some in HD.  I thought I would try this before I installed a major outdoor antenna and I am glad I did. 

I would have given this antenna 5 stars but I have only had it for a day and should consider that the conditions were perfect for good reception.

I have an old amplified antenna, that is broken and in poor condition.  With the new digital conversion and all, I thought it was time to replace it with a new digital antenna.  I was never satisfied with the quality of the old one, but this antenna is no better.  After the frustration of putting it together and finding such a short cord that it could barely reach the top of the TV, I found it to be very unstable and would surely fall and break due to the poor design.

Of course, your success with any antenna will be affected by many factors, and you may have good results; I wish you well if you attempt installing this antenna.

However, it performed no better than the "pre digital age" ten year old broken to pieces antenna that I was attempting to replace.  So, tomorrow it goes back to the store, and my beat up broken down old antenna will have to do until I find something that actually works.
