Philips  Philips US2-MANT510 HDTV Amplified Indoor Antenna

I have tried all of radio shacks atenna's and a few from walmart. This is the best I don't have to get up and move it around like the others. I'm getting 26 free channels and all major networks! Just plug it in and enjoy cheers!

After trying 3 other amplified indoor antenna's, I finally found someone who had this antenna in stock. I did not anticipate that it would work any better than the previous 3, but was I wrong! It is on the 1st floor of a 2 story house located 11.5 miles NW of downtown Chicago. It located 32 stations on the Zenith DTT900 converter box. It also receives the difficult channel 2.1 with no problem. I also receive a station out of Hammond Indiana! There is a reason that this model is out of stock in most stores, it is a true gem, and worth the search efforts.

I got this antenna 6 months ago when I decided to cancel my cable subscription. Initially I used it for analog TV reception and then for digital TV with a converter box. For analog reception, it works acceptably for channels above 7 and is very direction dependent. For channels at 7 or below, they are always snowy. For digital TV reception coupled with the Zenith DTT900 converter box, it gives excellent reception to all channels up to 45 miles away. The digital reception is much less direction dependent. I am now using this antenna placed on the second floor to feed the whole house through the cable in the wall and the splitter in the basement. This way, I get very good reception with the TV on the first floor than connecting the antenna directly on the first floor. In other words, the signal degraded much more by airwave obstruction than the splitter and 50+ feet cable extension. We are very happy with the digital reception using this antenna. The picture quality is even better than when we had cable. One major issue of this antenna is the poor quality of the product. The first one broke at the antenna connector when I was screwing in a cable by hand. Other than that, the adjustable angle, the alternative input switch, and the use of cable connector instead of fixed cable are very good unique features that cannot be found in most other indoor antennae.

I purchased the Philips High Performance indoor antenna and couldn't get as many channels as I could with my +5 yr old set of rabbit ears. The TV towers are less than 10 miles from my home. I returned the Philips and am using my old set.

I have an 7 year old Jasco Optima passive antenna that gets excellent HDTV, this was the only antenna nearly as good, but more touchy and had to position it carefully. However needed something to replace the old Jasco! Able to get everything in Yellow and Green Zones per-CEA ratings Channels 2,4,5,9,11, barely 17, 23,29, barely 45.
