Love the streaming addition this has to be hard wired to the internet but it still works great.

Nice entry level DVD player. Easy to hook up and easy to use.

Great product and very easy set up. Great experience ordering online. We ordered this on a Sunday and got it delivered in 2 days, got it on Tuesday. Better yet no delivery charge.

Maybe I am lucky, but I have now had my unit for seven months & it works great. I did get a refurbished unit from here at Sony & I am not disappointed. Even though I have "High Speed DSL" with a "High Speed Price" I have never seen performance near what high speed DSL should be with my laptops & tablets. In spite of my DSL, I have been able to watch any of the Amazon Instant Videos or Netflix I choose. No lagging, dropping, reloading, frustration etc. I get enjoyable, stress free viewing. I cannot say that about other devices we own that I have tried to watch videos from these sites & they are capable products with an incapable connection. I also have a 25 cat5E cable like another reviewer The blu-ray player has a beautiful picture & I really enjoy using it. I have not fully gotten the hang of the remote, but that is my fault, I have not looked at the instruction book and studied it to learn about the buttons, but I get to where I need to go when I use it. All in all, I have had great luck with mine & I was confident enough in the experience I am having with my Sony Blu-Ray BDP-S185 that I bought an identical one for my brother... I have been very impressed & have enjoyed it very much. The price was great for both mine & his. Before I purchased this, I was about to buy a streaming media unit when I came across this Sony & it costs less than I would have paid for just a streaming unit & I got a blu-ray player thrown in for free! I would buy again & would highly recommend this unit for the quality, price & value of what you get for just a little bit of $$.

I keep getting the unable to update or connect to internet...

I love this player so much that I went and bought a second one. It does the movie streaming so we can watch movie from netflix. first one we had it about a year and now we have a second one. FYI sony does have two similar blue ray player one with WIFI and another without. Without WIFI is much cheaper but they look the same I think. I end up buying WIFI and I didn't have any problem connecting or streaming the movies. Thanks Sony for making this WIFI dvd player, I don't have to get smart tv.

We haven't hooked up the internet to it yet, but we are to use the Netflix feature. Works perfectly with our DVDs so far.

Easy setup, even on our old Sony TV. Picture and sound quality is fine, running is smooth and quiet. Controls are easy to understand and manipulate. Very practical USB port to use your flashdrive to watch your home productions without the use of a disk.

Bought this player to replace a BDP-S350 I have. The 350 still runs and I passed it on to someone that hasn't had the pleasure of using a blu ray player yet. The picture quality is amazingly accurate. And I bought this player from all the reviews I read from people that own it. And from the reviews on it I read online. So glad I decided on getting it. It loads super fast, DVD playback can be set to the full HD 1080p/24 and looks close to blu ray discs. Almost. Sound is great after you tweak it a bit and I ran the firmware update to find out how easy it is to do, even if my player was up to date. I would highly recommend this player for anyone that needs a new player or even if it is your first. Can't go wrong with any Sony player.

I purchased the first one of these about six months ago. All I wanted was a good Blu-ray player that played Blu-rays and DVD's. With this, I got what I wanted, plus a little extra should I want it. Last month when I got a new TV and Home Theater down in the basement, I went out and got another one of these for the same purpose, and am equally satisfied with it.
