not controlable by some universal remoteI bought this tv and liked so much, i used as computer monitor and the as my room tv and liked so bad.
the only thing is that if you have dish network, you wont be able to control the tv with the dish network remote. never called dish to see if my control was aoutdated and could getr a newer with thje code for that tv... but other than that overall very nice tv.

I purchased this exact television 2 black fridays ago and it only lasted me 13months and then the LCD panal went up and they cant fix it and wont replace it. If you choose to waste $400 i suggest you look for another brand somewhere for the same price or suck it up and kick out a little more money for a better brand name that you will get your money worth out of. The picture is not the best either, you can see pixels its takes some getting used to at first. Nothing happened to make the tv go up either, i turned it off at night and went to bed when i woke up in the morning and tried to turn it on the standby light came on and that was the end of the TV. Good luck to all that purchase this.
