The 52" Sharp Aquos has one of the best pictures I've ever seen! December 31, 2011

This TV has one of if not the best picture I have seen on any TV especially one of this size! The quality of the high definition picture is just awesome.

The wi-fi feature is nice as well. You can set it up to receive local weather, watch movies, or login to Facebook.

This is my second Sharp Aquos TV and I absolutely love both of them. Sharp has done a fantastic job in the field of large screen TV's. I would recommend this TV and the Sharp Aquos brand to anyone looking for a large TV that is both reasonably priced and has a quality picture.

Great picture watching nature channels, not for movies January 06, 2012

I was stunned seeing the picture on this TV in the store and i bought it (even seeing negative reviews on other sites). It's really not nice to watch movies on this TV. It looks so weird, like made with hand held video, just like the soap opera quality. Maybe it's just too sharp? I returned it (no problem in Sears).  The menus on FiosTV were guide were blurry.

I was initially unsure about how Sharp would compare to some of the other elite HDTV producers like Samsung and Sony because I had never had one or known anyone else who had. I have had a Samsung 7000 series 1080p 600hz plasma, that was rated as having among the best picture quality of any TV available and it was definitely a really good picture. This Sharp 52LE830U is even better than that. Period. It's a better picture. I wanted to get an LED after doing a lot of research and noting the efficient energy use. With the Sharp LED the definition and detail is noticably finer in both standard and HD. CNET among others rate the Samsung as having a much better picture quality and the best available. They rate Sharp as having only an avarage picture for its class. I completely disagree and have to wonder if the people who did that rating have been paid off by Samsung or are recieving any benifits in order to persuade buyers. Even the superior 600hz refresh rate of plasma is unnoticable.

I am extremely happy about the amazing picture quality of the Sharp LED Aquos Quattron, especially since the Sharp is also significantly less expensive than the Samsung. I would rate the Sharp Aquos Quattron 830 series as the best that I have seen. The new Samsung LED's I don't like at all. They look really bad and distorted to me because of attempting to have the darkest blacks and most contrast. If you look at one for long enough you start to realize that it makes everyone with a darker hair or eye color look as if they all have the same jet black color. It's completely unrealistic and looks really bad. Even people with brown eyes and brown hair all look like they have almost black hair and black eyes. It's bad. There is no way to see any difference in darker colors. If you are only looking at it for a minute you may not notice that. I have no affiliation or other biased reason to recommend this Sharp. I am recommending it as an owner of different high quality HDTV's. I hope that my recommendation will help anyone else who wants to get only the best quality, just like me because having a great high quality accurate and realistic picture is important for the time that I spend watching TV.

52" Sharp Aquos LED HDTV Picture quality lacking January 10, 2012
    via Sears.com
By dcpcb of Panama City Beach, FL
    Pros:
    Great online features
    Cons:
    Bad for watching sports

I must say, this wasnt my first choice at the store, but I needed a TV that day and the 46" Samsung was out of stock.  The bright, vivid picture of the Sharp caught my eye after I realized I was not able to get the Samsung.  Well I deciced, against my better judgement, to purchase the Sharp Aquos.  When I got the set home and set it up I immediately noticed the blurr while watching a football game.  After toying around with the picture settings for close to an hour I thought I got it figured out.  Well not so much. I turned the game back on and the blurr was still there.  So I decided to try some 1080P HD to see how it looked and the same thing, the blurr on the action scenes were unwatchable.  I decided after a few short hours that I would have been better off waiting for the Samsung to be back in stock.  I took the Sharp back to the store and was willing to to pay a $180 restocking fee to return it a wait for my Samsung.  If you buy this TV make sure to unpack it with care so you can return it without paying the restocking fee!
