Excellent TV. I love the price and size. February 12, 2012

Got a great deal on the tv from Sears. Still need more time to better judge it. So far so good. I do wish Sony would have included a better remote for internet browsing. You have to use the current remote like an older cell phone if you were texting. You have to arrow over all keys to type in the words. Samsung has a remote that is just like a computer key board panel. I did get the 3D kit "included with sale" that includes the 3D glasses and Narnia video. I read where this tv did not get great ratings for the 3D. My kit was on back order and will be here next week. I will see how the 3D works at that time. Overall a very good tv if you get a great deal.

    Sony 3D - 55, 34 Bravia LED Smart TV - KDL-55NX720 December 22, 2011

I decided to purchase this TV because of the great reputation Sony has on their products. I do own a few more Sony devices and am very satisfied with them, I also own a Vizio plasma TV that I have for almost 5 years, the picture quality is great but it was already showing some problems as turning off on its own and sometimes displaying empty spaces on the pixels. When I decided to replaced the Vizio for a new TV, after many reviewing Sony was always there on top, especially that I wanted to try a 3D TV for the longest. When I first turned the TV on was very impressed with the feautures it offered. My first dissagrement came when I watched the first movie, as a default the setups are all messup. The picture quality of the movie was like watching a damaged VCR movie, the colors displayed were from a new color circle that really hurt my eyes, after messing with the settings for days now the movies look more decent, I am still not fully satisfied when compared with the plasma TV. The 3D movies were another issue at first, we were not that impressed with the quality, again after messing with the settings now I am very satisfied with the 3D movies, regular movies are still an issue because they look very unreal and totally different from what I am used to see. The digital TV HD quality is awful and a terrible sound quality as a matter of fact, no sound quality at all. The sond presets make no difference at all, don't understand why they bother to place a few sound presets on the feautures when they all are the same, no change at all. I am still messing with the setup if I don't accomplish to see this TV the way I am used to it, I will return the TV because even though the movies are starting looking more decent, I don't watch movies every day, I watch TV and if Sony made a product that is only good for movies I don't want it. Fast moving activities like football games are showing a ghost running after everyone, pure refresh. The TV quality is so poor that I am wondering if this TV was not tested properly and is one of those from a bad batch. I am a very tech savy, and I am very demanding for picture and sound quality, I have not found them to my satisfaction yet on this TV. I am also a very patient person, that is why I am continuing testing it and playing with the settings to see if I can come up with the right one. In a resume, I will not recommend this TV to anyone, Sony blowed it this time with this TV and the poor technology it employed on it, this is the worst ever I expected better from Sony. I guess I am used to the better picture and sound quality of a plasma TV.

OMG, AWESOME TV! May 15, 2012
    via Sears.com
    By alg9995 of Rochester, MI

This is the best TV that I have ever owned, but I have to admit my previous unit was a 32-inch tube TV that was purchased in 1996. After 15-years, I finally upgraded and have zero regret. My wife purchased this TV for our family Christmas present to celebrate her 1st job following 17-years of on/off schooling - we have used it every single day for 5-months now. I opted for a non-Sony wall-mount because the Sony version was 3-inches off the wall and I wanted thin to take advantage of the super thin LED. Good thing the wall-mount has a tilt-feature because I ended up needing the extra space because the best Monster HDMI Cable requires 1.5 inches to make a 90-degree bend coming off the back of the HDMI inputs - this is thick cable, but came highly recommended for 3D experience and ultra-fast response time for video gaming and HDTV features. The bottom edge of the TV is fragile and could be improved - minor damage during install when I set it down on the step-stool before hanging. Love the clear picture. Love the thin sleek look. I almost downgraded this review to 4-stars because the sound could be better (built-in speakers are below average) and the lag in the remote control is awful. New batteries but it still takes nearly 3-4 seconds before the change input appears, and then there is another delay in making your selection. Having a Sony Blu-Ray seems to help because it seems to know the Sony TV without me doing anything. Just stick in the DVD and by the time I'm sitting down the TV is already on and ready to play movie. Pretty cool. And the 3D feature works great (check out the final chapter in Harry Potter Final Episode with the ash falling from the towers after he blasts Voldermort) and 3D glasses charge in only 5-minutes using a USB Port - No Batteries Required!!! Makes them more comfortable and more economical over time. We have wireless hooked up and working, this took 5-minutes at most and was very easy for the TV. But we did something wrong initially because the wireless router stopped working for every other device in the house afterwards, and it had to be reset one by one, which ended up taking several hours to troubleshoot with Comcast and Wireless Router and Kodak wireless Printer. That was the worst experience, but hard to blame it on the TV (I think?). I found a professional posting by doing a basic web-search for "optimal" picture settings. I'll list what I found here, but this person claimed to be a licensed professional that set-up high-end TV's for a living. I used his recommendations as my "starting point" and then customized from there for my room settings and viewing preferences. But by following his clues made 100% improvement from the standard out-of-box settings: Picture Mode = General Custom Backlight = 7 Contrast = 86 Brightness = 42 Sharpness = 37 Color = 51 Tint = 0 Color Temp = Warm2 Cinemotion = Auto2 Advanced Gamma = +1 LED Dynamic Contrast = Standard WB High (R -1 / G -5 / B -1) WB Low (R 0 / G 0 / B -1) All else set to 0, Off, or Low And when viewing 3D, make sure to change 3D settings to +2 Maximum Effect (the TV always defaults to 0 and cannot be set permanently to +2 Maximum).

55" Sony Bravia 3d LED Smart TV April 16, 2012
    via Community Review
By wolf7598 of Virginia Beach, Virginia

I pruchased a HD-LCD TV. Overall I am very pleased with the performance I am seeing. I went through two Samsung television sets: the first being the Samsung LN-S4095D; 1080p LCD and the second being the Samsung LNT3253H; L. Both models are full of audio-muting issues that Samsung has failed to resolve, so I decided that before any of these problems severely affected me, I would return them before the 30-day return policy expired. I was told that the LNT3242 model by Samsung was returned to a store over 7 times by the same customer. I ended up purchasing the Sony KDL-32S3000 and am very satsified with the purchase. I can certainly say it out performed the two Samsungs I purchased, especially in terms of picture quality. While both manufacturers have good television sets, the Samsung, while maintaining softer imagery, did not have as sharp and vibrant of picture-quality. The Sony has a menu similar to that of PSP and PS3 interfaces. It can be confusing for the first time user, but I find the system to be rather easy to navigate through. The set itself is loaded with many options for tweaking video output, but does not have enough options to flexibly tweak color temperature. It also comes with an Internet Link option, mainly for streaming HD to your television from the Internet using a proprietary Sony device. The built-in tuner was also able to pick up a variety of HD 1080i and SD 420i channels. They look fantastic on screen. If you are using a PS3 on this, you will be pleased to know that games do output on this set at 1080p resolution. DVDs also display (according to the television information) at 1080p.

    Awesome Television April 09, 2012
    via Community Review
    By bobbosns of Blackwood, NJ

I bought this tv as an investment because it is a little pricey as far as televisions go these days. It was worth it. The picture is amazing!! HD programing looks unreal on this TV. You feel like you are in the room with them. The 3D is also stunning. The 3D glasses are not included and will run you around $70. The only negative would be the sound. The speakers are in the back and you need to put the volume up to hear it. I hooked up a surround sound system and it sounds amazing. Great TV I would highly recommend. ALso coems with alot of cool features like Hulu and Netflix with a wireless internet connection.
