    great tv for movies December 29, 2011

    alright so ive had this tv for about a month and its great for movies the quality and sound are great. i thought twice about returning it because of the lag it has with video games but i decided to keep it hoping that they have a future solution other than that everything else is greath the web browsing is exelent

    After a year, its dead and unusable January 01, 2012

    I am unable to use my Sony Google TV. Apparently an online update has caused a software issue and now the TV is unusable. I was on the phone with tech support for over an hour, but they were not able to help me resolve the issue. When the TV starts, I get the Sony and Google TV splash screens and then receive errors that I am not able to clear. I tried factory resets and firmware updates from a USB drive. Nothing has worked.

    I would have thought a TV like this would have lasted longer. Needless to say, I'm not too happy with how Sony has handled the situation.

    I would not recommend that you buy this television.

    if you are looking for a smart tv, you should look again on Sony Google TV, you might think it is an old version, but let me tell you it has everything you need: HDTV LED Screen, wifi, web browser, lots of applications (netflix, pandora, twitter, etc.) and for this price other brands only offer LED TVs not smart ones.

    I bought this TV without really knowing all of the features. Now, I know that it comes with the Android operating system, and it's pretty amazing. I downloaded some apps to the TV and I've downloaded apps to my Android phone. Now, I can talk to my TV. As far as the picture, it's great. The only drawback is that the picture only has a 60Hz refresh rate. That means, when there is fast action on the program you're watching, the picture will break up a little. Other than That, this TV would be a great buy for anyone who wants to get the latest "gadget" that they can brag to their friends about...LOL

    This is the solution for eliminating unsightly cords. Everything streams directly to the tv, including pandora, podcasts, and u-tube.
