The picture quality of this TV is simply excellent. Compared it with more expensive Panasonic "Infinite Black" G model and it's impossible to see the difference in real video content. You need to be in total darkness and have very high quality, low noise signal with large swatches of black and put them side to side to notice a slightly darker black in G models. Of course, just watching TV you will never think I wish blacks were deeper. I've watched HD programs over the air, from blu-ray, Netflix from Roku, and from PC over HDMI. All modes 480/720/1080 progressive and interlaced displayed perfectly, and TV did a good job upscaling lower resolution to native 1080. No problems with motion, no blurring, no color fading or runoffs. TV does have a slightly lower moving picture resolution 900 lines (vs 1080 lines in top models), but it's quite impossible to notice that without measurements. So sports viewers will be satisfied. Also, on a positive side, the screen is not as glossy as the majority of other plasmas, so reflections are subdued.

This is my second Panasonic Plasma, having had the other one in the living room for about 3 years now.  Bought this one for the den in my new house because of the price and a great experience with the other Panasonic Plasma I've had.  I have owned Sony, Samsung, Sanyo, and Westinghouse big screens in the past (and still have a couple of them), but the Panasonic plasmas blow them all away in picture quality and value.  This baby has everything you could ever want, including wi-fi at a price that you really can't beat.  The plasma has a much better black than the other technologies and, as long as you don't put them in a position that will have the windows glaring on the screen, you will like this much better.  Do yourself a favor and pick one of these up.

Easy setup, gorgeous picture, good sound, comprehensive control settings, card reader performs beyond expectations, and WI-FI streaming video/audio from wireless router and desktop is wonderful. A simple, inexpensive USB wireless adapter made it possible. Netflix, ******, Facebook, my desktop's shared folders, etc, all available on my TV, with ultimate clarity. Buy with confidence.

I bought this TV as a Cyber Monday deal for $599, plus 15% ShopDiscover special cash back. However, there is kind of a long story. Discover told me on the online chat that it wasn't eligible, so I ended up buying it in the store, with a free blu-ray player.

Long story short, I contacted Discover and their excellent customer service agreed that i would get 15% cash back. So a $599 TV + Free BluRay Player + $90 cash back... equaled a good deal. TV has a great picture, and I easily networked my laptop to it. Also plays movies off a USB drive and/or SD Card.

The only problem (and I knew this before I bought it) was that there is only 1 Audio Output, and it's optical. I couldn't use my older surround sound without an adapter ($30, I didn't want to spend). The built in speakers work pretty well for me, so not a huge issue.

Hopefully it lasts, as it was a cheaper TV, i didn't spend the $$ on a warranty!
