The Archos 32 IT is a fantastic 3.2" touch screen connected Android player able to play the widest range of video and music formats that you could imagine. You can download plenty of applications to extend its fun factor, connect to the Internet via a Wi-Fi network, and even shoot videos with its built-in camera, and all of this, inside a pocket-sized device.

I bought this for my 10 yr old for Christmas and he loves it (wanted an Ipod touch, but no way I was spending that kind of money on him). Does everything- music, games, books browsing, email- you name it and it is quick and easy to use. I found myself using it as much as he does!
Definately worth it. We have no problems with the touch screen, very compatible and there are lots of apps at appslib to download.

This is something anyone that is on the go and use the internet can use - at a very reasonable price.

Alhthough it's little, this tablet packs a punch..It's affordable, user-friendly and has many capabilities. I have had mine about 8 months now and I use it when I'm at Mcdonald's-or anywhere that offers free wi-fi where you don't want to burden yourself down with a heavy laptop! My son loves the angry birds apps...I recommend this for users of any age and any techie level.

My son saved his money up to purchase this product. He was so excited to purchase his first android powered device. He took it home and it would not even turn on. OK, no problem. Called the tech people for Archos and they said there was a malfunction simply exchange it at the store. Did that. Great! Now he uses the second device for about 3 weeks. The touch screen stopped working and apps would no longer load or open. Had to take this one back as well. No problem with Sears. They were great about it all. This third one lasted almost 1 year. Thankfully, I purchased the protection plan with it. The pixels of the graphics became distorted and the screen maintained a red hue to it. I returned it to the Archos manufacturer and the warrenty stated that I would recieve either a replacement items or a gift card of equal value. I wrote to the company and explained that this was alread the third item I had used. Thankfully, they promplty sent out a giftcard for SEARS. I am pleased with the service from the companies during this hassel, however this product just simply isn't up to par.

I was looking for a tablet that could use WiFi and I came across this device. So I saved all my money for this device plus a little more, and it's great! The only thing I hate about it is that it doesn't have any speakers, you have to get headphones. But, I just got mine yesterday and need to do some more stuff.

The Archos 32 is an amazing bargain! Wifi really has no issues connecting whenever I need it(like running Pandora while mowing on a half acre lawn), and the processor usually keeps up with whatever I need it to do. I have a few issues with the screen with one single dead pixel (though I really can't find it once the device is done booting up, and two spots where the back light bleeds through. I'm sure I could send it back but I honestly don't care about those issues at all. Typing on the screen was a bit of a chore at first, but after I downloaded the free w10 keyboard I haven't had any real issues since. I had an issue with a program that would occasionally run and many times would crash on me, but I figured out that turning off window animations fixed this issue entirely. There is no real google android marketplace access but you can find it online. The battery life really lasts around 6 hours under heavy usage, when charging leave it in sleep mode not off(for some reason does not charge well when off) and it will charge in about 2 hours. I would recommend this to just about anyone although I would be a little wary because archos has been previewing their new set of "tablets" just look up gen 9 archos tablets for some info.

I'll start by saying I REALLY wanted this unit to work out. I don't like mp3 players with proprietary software (IPod, Zune) and don't want my phone to be anything but a phone. The specs on this were great and it has a lot of potential. First the good. I quickly got it running on my wireless network. Web browsing is not a great experience on such a small screen, but I knew that going in and didn't expect to use it for anything but quick movie time lookups and simple stuff. It's more than adequate for that. I did the software upgrade over the net next. It crashed the first time, but that is also not unusual for a lot of devices. The second time went fine. Then I put some music on it. The stock settings were not great for sound, and each of the preset EQs were unimpressive also. But if you manually set the bass and treble and the "3d" settings to match your headphones it sounds fantastic. I have had over 20 mp3 players. This is the best sounding one I've had. Next I went on the Archos software store on the unit and dowloaded Angry Birds. I got to have my birds :). That went very smoothly also. This is how I ran the unit for the next few days and had no problems. I tried the video camera at my daughter's ice skating lessons and was pleasantly surprised. The quality wasn't great, but it was much better than I expected. Now the bad. After a week of use the touch screen has become annoyingly inaccurate. I've calibrated it several times to no avail. Pressing the next song button on the screen never works anymore, it just advances the current song to the point on the play bar which is well below where you are pressing. And don't even get me started on Angry Birds. You can have the perfect shot lined up and as soon as you release your finger the bird launches backwards. Arrrrrggghhhh! I probably could have lived with all of this to have that great sounding mp3 player. But alas, after that same week of use it started locking up at the end of songs and not going to the next one. When I tried to manually go to the next one the screen would display its equivalent of the Windows blue screen of death. It then had to be reset to work again. And that was the last straw. It's going back today. And I'm disappointed in that because I really liked it the first few days. To conclude, I wouldn't recommend this product unless you just want an mp3 player to sit and play music on shuffle. But you can get a much cheaper player to do that with simpler software that won't lock up. But it won't sound as good..... I think I'll try the Archos 70 next.

Did comparison between a Zune HD and an iPad. The iPad was overpriced in my opinion. Have older Zune's and experience is positive. However, when I was comparing the Zune and iPad I discovered the Archos 3.2 and felt it was the best buy for my teenager. I was so right. It is the best of the Zune and iPad combined. The price was the true seller. Additionally because of blue tooth it can also be used with a cell phone. The memory size is quite adequate. I have tried to "borrow" the Archos, but that is a big no no with my daughter. The apps that are available are a great selection. The operating system....Android 2.2 works wonderfully. The connection to the internet via wifi is wonderful. I have nothing negative to say about the Archos, everything is positive. Except of course when I discover that my teenager is on the internet while she is suppose to be in bed going to sleep. You turn the Archos and the picture flips quite quickly. I want one for myself, maybe I will get one for my birthday. It is great at playing back videos, as a mp3/mp4 player I am not disappoited and neither is my daughter. Bought it online through KMart, but it was a Sears item. Love how you can combine your purchasing power through 2 different stores. Then the option to ship to store or ship to home was just an added little bonus. I highly suggest this Archos as a fantastic substitute for a Zune or an iPad, especially at such a great price. Can't you tell we thoroughly enjoy the Archos 3.2???

I bought the Android Archos, for my girlfriend. After seeing alot of the things that this small unit does. I turned around and bought one for myself. For the guy who bought and saids it's not worth it. If you read the 1 year warrenty correctly it states in the warranty that if you drop it. It's customer abuse. This is very ironic that you've only had for 3 days. Maybe if you wasn't clumsy then you'd still have the unit. Overall I love it and if I was to recommend it to anyone it worth it....

I would not recommend this product to anyone. I got it as a Christmas gift....2 days after Christmas the "touch screen" volume broke. I had to go through the whole process of sending it to the company to be covered under warranty. Then the day after, I get it back I drop it on the desk (inches from the desktop) and the touch screen shatters. Then I call customer service to find out that they will not cover misuse....apparently that is their way around a poorly made product. So I got to use my $150 tablet for three days. SAVE YOUR MONEY and DON'T BUY IT.
