Awesome system!!!! October 27, 2009

I was looking for an ipod dock for some time but didn't want to buy one just to buy one.  I was looking for the right one.  The Tivoli iSongBook was recommended to be a co-worker (I'm a Systems Administrator in a rather large IT department) and was told Sears was offering a steal of a price on these.  They were selling them for $100 each with a $50 instant rebated.  I only paid $50.00! and it was the best $50 ever spent!  I love all of the features!

My office is on the ground floor located in the center of the building.  With all of the concrete walls that surrounds my office, radio signals just don't reach my office... no radio, no cell phone reception.. nothing!  unitl the iSongBook!  What amazing reception from this little box!  It has reconnected us with the outside world again during the 9-5! 

The sound is awesome and so is the size!  I was looking to pick up another one for my daughter, but they are now selling for as much as $400!!!!!  Wow!  Still worth it! With the quality I've experienced... I would've expected to have been charged the $400 the first time!

I have a Tivoli Songbook. I paid a hunk of change for that unit, and still find it a good deal for the sound quality and performance. The iSongbook has dual speakers, a built-in iPod dock, remote control, and the alarm clock/sleep feature for a super low price! This deal can't be beat and thus far, I am glad I got the iSongbook. I have an iPod Classic 160GB, and my iSongbook charges the iPod with my docking adapter. What I also love about Tivoli is that you can put NiMh AA batteries in the unit, and the included Tivoli charger also charges the batteries! This has awesome sound quality and performance; I don't think you'll be sorry if you purchase the iSongbook!

Being the owner of several Tivoli radios I felt like the iSongbook would be the iPod docking system for me. Consistent with other Tivoli products the features are basic and the sound quality is good. Tivoli chose to go with an electronic volume control which is useful given the included remote, but the input selector is still mechanical. It would have been nice if they had made it electronic also. The most disappointing thing about the iSongbook, and almost a deal breaker, is that it is not completely compatible with newer generation iPods. Newer iPods will not charge when docked in the iSongbook. Newer generation iPods display an alert message when docked. One other minor inconvenience is with the AC power adapter. The transformer is so large and heavy that it often comes unplugged under its own weight. All in all, having purchased this item at the very discounted price that Sears frequently offers I feel like I got my money's worth, but I would not be satisfied at all if I had paid full price.

I heard about this from a friend who said that Sears was selling it at a great price. I bought one for myself and then a month later bought one for my son going off to college. Great product at a reasonable price.
