The ipod earbuds don't fit in my ear, so I've bought at least 20 different headphones, all were above the head, behind the head, noise canceling, etc. These are simply amazing! They also work as earplugs, eliminating most sound around you, so noise canceling is not even needed. The bass and treble on these things are unbelievable. My in-laws got these for me for Christmas and I love them for it! I wish I knew about them before I spent tons of mony on noise canceling.
