the great improvement upon Office 2007 is Office 2010
For those that have not used Office 2007 and are still on Microsoft Office 2003 there are quite a few changes, and for the better. Some of the major changes include (note: these also existed in Office 2007): Some of the neat changes that are new to both Office 2003 and 2007 users are: Overall it's a great suite of applications that does have some learning curve if you're coming from Office 2003, but for current Office 2007 users you can upgrade and learn it rather quickly. It is a great release from Microsoft.

Microsoft has outdone themselves again. I love 2010 version of microsoft office. It is so much simpler than microsoft 2007. There is new word art and new settings. I would recommend Microsoft 2010 to any one who wants to simplify there computer and get organized.

This verson contains Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, and Outlook. The cheaper Home and Student verson differs in that it does not contain Outlook, which is something I find tragic. Outlook is the program that I use the most as a student. It allows me to organize my email like in no other program. For instance, I use it to automatically change the color of emails in my inbox from professors so that they immediately stick out. It also has a great calendar system that allows me to track deadlines and gives me reminders when one is near. You can get by without paying Microsoft even more money if all you need is a word processor, but if you will need to create slide shows or work with files that are in a format associated with Microsoft Office programs, you may find that having one of the MS Office suites is essential.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
