No more redwings! 5 stars if they last a year like my past redwings.
I am a union tradesman that has worn redwing shoes for most of my years in the trade. I have always suffered from back pains even though I'm just 36. Waking up in the morning or even getting out of my car after the drive home from work had me walking stiff till my back loosened up and I was back to normal. Didn't think the boot would make a difference with my back but since the first day I've been getting out of my car with no aches or back pain. These shoes are the most comfortable and least expensive work boots I've worn in the 15 yr's I have in the trade. I do not believe that all die hard boots are great because they sure are not. The difference is the type of flat sole on the bottom of the boot. I do not know if they will last a yr or more like my past redwings but I can tell you that these are definetly going to feel comfortable and not have that horrible break in period that you have with all other work boots. Paid $70 total online, icing on the cake!

Not Making Them Like They use to
I have been waring The Diehard workbooks for over 30 yeas. I recommended the shoes to my bother in law, the sole separated within a couple of months. I had a pair where the stitching loosen up. Also there is a rivet in the(center) of the heel that if the padding wears thin the revit protrudes enough to hurt the heel of your foot. This super fine product I use to recommend to everyone. No more. The shoe is not for the workman doing everyday construction work. evem at a sale price.

I grew up with Sears workboots. I hiked half of the Appalachian Trail using a single pair of Sears Diehard workboots. The quality hasn't changed.
