The CAT Endure boot is sturdy but not very practical
I am retired and use the boot for general use around my horse arena, paddocks and acreage. Two hands are required to lace the boot, one to guide the laces into the grooves and the other to tighten the lace. Lacing them in the dark is nearly impossible. Rocks lodge in the outsole and require a knife or other sharp instrument to remove them. The boot is very sturdy as described, but the stiffness of the outsole has caused more calluses on my feet than any boot I have ever worn. The leather on the tongue has been shredded by the leather laces. The heel counters have worn through in spots causing my heels to be sore. Covering the worn spots with Gorilla tape and wearing heavier socks has solved this problem. With the exception of the leather tongues, the uppers and soles of the boots are showing very little wear after 10 months of consistent wear.

caterpillar mens endure 6 inch workboot seems to be a great work
my husband is very particular when picking out workboots. he trys on all of them and bends his foot in everyway he can. this one was the most confortable out of over 15 pairs of boots he tried on. i do not know how well they hold up, because he has not worke din them much yet. however, there was a problem with the size. he needed a size 7 in wide but they did not have this size in any of the sears stores we called. we then look in the catalog and it said they did make this boot in size 7 wide. so he was going to order it from online, but for soem reason it wouldnt even let him choose that as an option online. so he then called the customer service number to ask why it says they make it in that size in the catalog, but no stores or online carries it. they customer service rep did not know the answer, so we still do not know for sure if the boot is made in that size, so he ende up getting the 7.5 regular. hopefully this works, otherwise we will be taking advantage of the " 30 day gauruntee" that CAT provides. hope this helps
