Nice Lawn Mower
I received the Lawn Mower this week and mowed with it the first time today. I bought this lawn mover because it was light, 28 lbs, and the cutting height can be adjusted to 2.5 inches, which is the highest of any small, lightweight lawnmower that I could find on the internet. I needed a light lawn mover as I am female, 63, and have COPD (a lung disease). As I live in an area where temperatures are over 100 in the summer and humidity is 20% the grass needs to be cut minimally at 2.5 inches to remain healthy. Previously I had a side discharge electric mower from B&D which was great but was 12-14 lbs heavier and with a full bag of grass really tired me out. Even though the Sun Joe has a cut width of only 14 inches, it took me the same amount of time to cut my lawn with the Sun Joe as with the 18 inch cutting width of the B&D. Guess I was moving faster. When I was finished I didn't have to come inside and rest up but went and started a load of laundry, showered and am now writing this. For me and anyone who wants a very easy to push lawn mower, this is great and I recommend it.
The product manuel is not the best however. Instructions on how to attach the grass catcher are just wrong. To attach the grass catcher lift up the rear door and fit the top of the grass catcher just under and flush with the top of the rear door. Make sure the sides of the grass catcher fit within the sides of the rear door. Once I figured this out it was extremely easy. Also the manuel doesn't tell you how to adjust the cutting height of the mower. To do this turn the lawn mower on its side. You will see the wheel axels are lying in one of 3 grooves. For a higher cut move the axel to a lower groove and do this for all 4 wheels. As the axels are spring loaded this is very simple to do. Further to turn the machine on, push in the safety lock and push up on the switch lever, once the engine starts remove your finger from the safety lock. The lock stays depressed until you let go of the switch lever.
Other than the bad manuel, this is a great little machine and has plenty of power.

Not worth it
Easy to put together. I am 5'3 and found the handle to be a bit too high for me. I started mowing, and with the first swipe a wheel broke off! I dealt with it and a few minutes later another wheel broke off!! I was able to finish my lawn, the only good thing I can say about it is that it made a nice close cut. I packaged it all up to return and it cost me $47.00 (you cannot return to store if you bought it online)!!!!! Still haven't received my credit......

We have a multi level terrace lawn. This mower is extremely light and easy to lift from level to level. It's manuverable, cuts well & is easy to store (handle folds down). We love it.

Moe Joe goes slow
I have only used it twice since I bought it but it suits my needs. I have two small lawns that I like to keep manicured and I have to mow slow because of Congestive Heart failure so this small lawn mower is just right for me. I have had no problems with it and I only have to empty the grass catcher once for both sections of lawn. For a small lawn or lawns it is great. For a person who works slow it is also great. I would like to see it a bit more quiet but no big thing.

I purchased the Mow Joe electric mower and after using it for the first time I am very happy that I did purchase it. I left it on the middle setting and it cut very close, I don't think I would put it on the lowest setting unless I want to do some rototilling! I did have to empty the bag often but my yard had not been cut in a few weeks and the mower went thru it easily. This is a great mower and for the price you can't beat it.

I'm Kinda falling in Love with it!
Just used this once so far. I have a smaller sided yard and this is perfect! It cuts well and required no effort to start up. Unlike my old gas mower (which I was about to take a sledge hammer to.) It's mostly all plastic, so it does look like a little kids toy, but it works. I havn't had anything fall apart yet. It's nice and light so when I have to carry it through my house to get to the back yard it's not a whole ordeal. I can lift it in one hand. You have to get used to paying attention to the cord but i can live with that if I never have to spend 10 minutes trying to get a gas mower to start. The basket is a little small so you have to empty it frequently, but, I didn't have one on my old mower so it's nice to not have to rake up grass droppings. It attaches easily too, so that's good. Because I live in a townhouse storage is limited and this is small enough that it doesn't take up a whole lot of room in my storage closet out side, which is a huge plus for me. I don't think I'd use this for a big yard just because of the cord but it's perfect for smaller yards. I'd say for the money and the minimal effort required to use it, GREAT BUY!
