Generac  GP6500E Portable Generator - 49 State - Non CA

I picked up the GP 6500E generator today. All parts were present and the assembly was easy. The unit started right up with the electric start. The generator appears to be well built and has good operating directions. It ran my power tools without a blip. The wheels and pull handle makes moving the generator on the ground easy but it isn't lightweight. It takes two people to lift it into a pickup. A separate battery charger is included as the electric start battery is not directly charged from the generator. I'm impressed so far and look forward to many years of usage.

Generator arrived quickly and needed basic assembly. I went from box to running generator in less than a half hour. All components are solidly overbuilt and well laid out. Am impressed with the quality and highly recommend the 6500E

Bought this generator because of power outage. This is my 2nd GP 6500. Easy assembly except the store did not include the wheels. Started on very 1st pull and ran flawlessly. Noise level is acceptable. I cannot say enough about this generator. It easily handles my whole house. I had many neighbors come over asking about it and I'm sure that some of them are going to or did buy an identical. unit. It is nice to get your moneys worth.

Although I have not had to use this for any length of time yet, it is easy for me to start up and ready for use. It appears to be as quiet as any portable generator can be.

This unit is exactly what we need for power tools prior to installation of utilities at new home construction sites.

I looked extensively at generators prior to making my purchase and this one had more features and value for the price. Was very easy to set up and start up can be done by anyone. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable generator.

Purchased the gp6500 after a lot of research. It offered the best power for the price. We only had to use it for a little over 1 hour for the first 7 months we owned it. We have been faithful in starting it about every other week or so and ran it with a load for about 20 minutes. We have kept the tank full of gas treated with stabilizer. Well sure enough we lost power this week do to freak March snowstorm. Started on the second pull. It ran over the course of three days for 29 hours. Worked flawlessly. Really a lifesaver, especially with three kids and the wife. Ran 3/4 of the entire house including a well pump, two refrigerators and a deep freezer. We have a Woodstove in the basement so no need for it to run a heat source. Bottom line... Awesome product, great value and so far seems durable. If you're debating this generator, go for it!!!!

I live in the Northeast corridor and have decided this wacky weather is no fun w/o electricity. Purchased the GP6500E w/ manual transfer kit. Assembly was easy. Started right up w/ the electric ignition. Contracted a local electrician to install the transfer box. Straight forward and no surprises, other than needing a 60 amp main breaker. Electrician commented on the box and said the set-up was pretty slick. Prepared and waiting for Mother Natures next haymaker.

Just purchased online. Only took 3 business days to arrive. Set was easy and started on first pull. Only complaint is wheels seem cheap otherwise happy with my purchase.
