I bought this last May for my birthday but our house was being stained and they would not finish it until the end of July so the end of July I put it up and the firstl thing I noticed it would not come down right. I used it for Aug and put it away starting Sept. I took it out this May and the second day it would not stay up straight and I turned and heard a bang the pole broke right under the pull down handle. 5 weeks of use and $200 and no umbrella. Also it fadded seveerly in those weeks. I will never buy a product of theirs again. A bunch of junk and Sears would not back it up either!!!!

The fabric is cut incorrectly so the spokes do not stay in the pockets.  Further, the mechanism that allows the umbrella to bend is too loose and the entire umbrella tilts in whichever direction the wind is blowing.

<p align="CENTER">We bought the patio set with the initial feeling that
the price was reasonable and what we could see of the floor model in
the store was functional. We purchased via Sears.com and arranged
delivery. The day of said arranged delivery, we received a phone call
post-poning until several days later. As we had planned for guests on
the weekend, the purchase was made so that the patio would be ready
for company. Late delivery ensured that we stayed outside until
midnight assembling critically flawed pieces of the set in the dark
and covered with mosquitos. One chair required vice grips, C clamps,
additional screws not provided and a power drill to finally complete.
The umbrella itself would not fully close ever again once it had been
opened. The joint where the umbrella was designed to tilt/pivot had a
loose alan wrenched screw in it that was not long enough to fully
reach the threading of the other side. I did my best to adjust the
whole contraption such that it would stand more or less straight for
our use over the table.

<p align="CENTER">I probably should have tossed it in the SUV and
driven back to Sears right away, but I figured..."It's o.k.. I
guess." Three weeks later a gentle rain twisted the entire thing
into a letter "Z". We called the number included in the
owner's manual about getting replacement parts and were told they
aren't for sale until "the season ends" for which the
clarification given was "I dunno, maybe the end of August.?

<p align="CENTER">We have spoken to several persons at Sears.com and
were told that the damage sustained was due to calamity so they could
not replace the faulty item or any part of it after spending more
than an hour on the phone being tranferred to various departments.
The item was poorly constructed, badly designed and supported by a
fundamental lack of basic customer service.

<p align="CENTER">In short, I do not recommend purchasing this item,
nor would I suggest any of the set items unless you are very handy
with a spot welder or possess your own metal stamping machinery.

Make sure you give your umbrella a once over before leaving the store, because once you get it home and go through the trouble of putting it up who wants to take back down when you see the sun coming through whole in the seam, crank it down thrown a couple of stictches in it good as new, lesson learned!

This item is not stable. Mine came apart at slightest wind changes. during a thunderstorm my umbrella was in the wind for about five minutes before I could get to it and let it down. It tilted in its base until it turned the table over. The supports for the umbrella bent and I am not sure I can repair it. I would not recommend this product.
