Worked for 2 months, now flames shoot out of control knobs; Junk September 09, 2011

Bought this last year and it worked well for the summer. I had problems with low heat at the beginning of this summer and now flames shoot from under the control knobs when I try to light it. The gas doesn't reach the burners. This is really a piece of junk. I was able to use it twice this summer and it never got up to the appropriate temperature.  Don't buy it.

The Kenmore 3 Burner Gas Grill met and exceeded my expectations. March 02, 2011

After internet searches and comparisons on gas grills we bought the Kenmore 3 buner gas grill model #16114. There were several reviews that were negative concerning assembly and missing or damaged parts, so I was a little reluctant to purchase but I liked the features offered at the price of the unit. I laid out all the parts to start the assembly process, I found that the unit was packaged well to prevent damage to the parts, the fasteners were in a well labeled bubble pack for ease of identification and the instructions were easy to follow. Assembly time was about 1-2 hours as I took my time assembling. The unit burners all fired up properly and heated up the unit to cooking temperature in matter of minutes. The burners stayed lit even with below freezing temperatures (15deg) and fairly strong wind gusts so I was able to BBQ the same day of the assembly in spite of the weather conditions. I have BBQ'd three other times this month (Feb) without problems, now I am looking forward to summer BBQ's during warmer weather. There were two minor negative issues with this unit, first one was that the well that the propane bottle craddles into was a tight fit with my vintage (2005) bottles; and the second issue was the end of the unit that is picked up (auxillary shelf) to move the unit on its wheels, feels filmsy and would be better if it had braces supporting it.

The Kenmore Gas Grill is Quality at a Value November 18, 2010

I have to admit finding a stainless steel grill that isn't too expensive or large to fit on my apartment patio was quite a task. However, this stainless stell gas grill from Kenmore was a find worth the search! It's not too heavy to move during the winter months, yet strong enough to withstand the outdoor elements of spring, summer and fall. The large cooking area for this sized grill is impressive and the porcelain cast iron cooking grates are easily to clean. The extra cost of assembly was well worth the price and Sears Home Services did a great job putting it together. All I had to do was hookup the propane tank, which turned out to be a piece of cake!

Kenmore 3 Burner Gas Grill was perfect choice for me November 16, 2010

I purchased this grill a little over a month ago, and so far I couldn't be happier. I've been cooking on it at least twice a week and every meal has been superb. It heats up in the expected time, the heat control is responsive, and the grates wipe completely clean when I'm done cooking (I do this immediately after taking the food off so all the residue is still hot and malleable).

Assembly wasn't confusing, but there are several difficult screws to turn, which has to be expected in a product like this. I will offer one tip that would have saved us some time:

When it comes time to attach the side shelves, insert the small pointy screws first to align the front lip with the main unit, and then secure with the other bolts. The instructions indicate to put the bolts in first, but we found that this misaligned the shelf and the smaller screws were nearly impossible to install. Installing the small screws first made the bolts slightly harder to install, but afterwards the shelf was perfectly aligned and secure.

So far I love this grill and it was the perfect choice for me and my balcony with limited space. I cook on it quite frequently and have entertained with it, and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget.
