Kenmore  4-Burner Gas Grill with Folding Side Shelves

Had this grill about a month. Pros: Well engineered for easy assembly, Ignitor system works well, Large shelves fold down/up with ease, Heats up quickly, Almost no flare up when grilling. Cons: Stainless steel cover lid discolors, should be painted black

We seem to be having an ignitor problem similar to some other people on this page. Tried all the suggestions, still isn't working. Lit it manually and the grill worked really well. Got plenty hot enough with only 2 burners lit for some indirect grilling. Haven't tested to see how hot it gets with all 4 burners, but my pork roast cooked right on schedule. That being said, it's a big deal to me when you spend this much money on a grill and part of it doesn't work at all.

The burner box bottom completely rusted out within the first year. You can see into the cabinet from above and BBQ drippings fall into the cabinet. I didn't notice the rust damage until taking it out from dry storage after the winter. The 1yr warrantee was over by one month and customer service refused to help. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was kept on hold for an hour. I called back and was told the manager would call me back within 2 hours. No one called. The burner bottom cannot be bought separately, You have to buy the entire burner box which costs almost as much as the entire grill. Don't waste your money on Kenmore brand grills. They're cheaper than other brands, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I've owned this grill for a little more than a year and have used it about 2 -3 times per week since I bought it. I was VERY happy at first and it really cooked well, although there were two 'hot' spots that cooked faster than the other areas. It stays on the deck and it is always covered up. It worked great until recently when the burner tubes became clogged. I took them out and cleaned them with soap, water and a wire brush - problem solved. During that process, I realized the heat diffusers were rotted. I bought some generic replacements - problem solved. Unfortunately, I also realized that the bottom of the burner box is completely rotted. I expect the grill will last through this year and then I will have to junk it for another new grill which is ridiculous. I won't buy another grill that doesn't have a removable drip pan across the entire bottom of the burner box.

This grill is fantastic. I've been grilling for over 10 years and have yet to use the side burner that comes on just about every grill out there. So I decided to go for a grill without a side burner and this is the grill to get. The folding shelves are very handy for storing the grill and they are very spacious and provide all the room I need. The 4 burners provide plenty of heat and the grates are amazing. The grill is built solid. Definitely a good buy

We purchased this grill unassembled because it wouldn't fit in our car otherwise. We spent an hour or two putting it together only to find out the igniter didn't work. We tried a new battery unsuccessfully. There was a supplement in the directions noting that others have trouble with the lighter and we should try placing the wires in different positions. This still did not work. So we spent another hour disassembling it and then driving it back to sears. Don't waste your time or money.

Gas grill cooks very evenly. I love it.

I love the fact that this grill is all stainless steel, We have a small patio and really liked the folding side shelves as we would never use a side burner. The cooking space is large compaired to the Weber for the same price. Nice looking grill and no problems so far. FYI they remodeled the folding side shelves from last years model so they are good now.

Looked at a number of grills and decided on this one. Good features and seemed sturdy. Had the store assemble it and picked it up at the store. Got it home and tried to use it and found the igniter switch did not work. Looked underneath and the wires had not been connected. Obviously it had not been assembled correctly or tested in the store. Hooked things up and igniters still did not work. Contacted customer service and they said it would be 3 weeks to get a technician out. Took it back that night and got my money back. Multiple customer support issues along the way. Won't go back to Sears.

We use it rain or shine at least three times a week. No issues at all. Eady to assemble, side trays fold up and it's all stainless so it can be pressure washed when needed. Nothing bad to say.
