Great grill August 27, 2008
I agree with many reviews here. The grill is exceptional-- it starts easy/quickly, cooks meat evenly and without location-specific problems, and the safety trips are great too. The only negative is make sure grill is perfect before taking it home. The manufacturer must have shipped it to US without adequate protection and some items are scratched/bent. Sears is great and accommodating to fix problem, but it's a good idea to resolve in store the first time.

Rotisserie Grill ?????? October 19, 2008
I love this grill with ONE major exception. This is a Kenmore rotisserie grill with a back burner for that purpose. The MAJOR problem is that Sears DOES NOT MAKE A ROTISSERIE to fit this product. I purchased a Kemnomre rotisserie ($20.00 more than a universal) and neither the Kenmore or the Universial will fit this grill. I had to make major modifications to the motor hanger, had to drill new holes which now make the hanger more flimsy and the rotisserie motor less stable. Sears has no answer to this issue.

I purchased the Kenmore 711 sq in. Total Cook Area Gas Grill 10 months ago when we bought our first house. When it is nice outside I use it almost 1once a week. I love this grill and it puts up with a lot being that is not protected from the weather. The side burner gets quite hot in a hurry so I rarely use that feature. I was impressed with the engineering involved with packing it. Rather easy to assemble.

Overall pleased with the unit. Only thing wrong, as others have stated before me, bent panels. I mentioned this at pickup, and they gave me the "best box" at the store. I get it home and find that it is bent in the exact same places as the ones on display, and also the others in the boxes (we checked after my discovery). Packing by the manufacturer needs to be improved. I also have some other minor problems. I still need to contact Sears and report the damage. We shall see just what is done with my problems.

I liked the grill in the store, so we got it. We had to order it and when we put it together there was a dent in the front, nothing major. It said it was had infared for the rotisarrie but there wasn't one and that was disapointing. All in all it works great but for those few things. Be prepared to take it back if you put it together yourself!

This grill works great so far. I looked at many, many grills and decided on this one since it was one of the few grills constucted with higher grade stainless steel (austentic/300 series), has the InfraRed back burner, ten year warranty on the burners, and of course was ON SALE! The instructions for the rotisserie kit, model 141.158034, claim the motor should be mounted on the left side. If you mount the motor on the RIGHT side you can use the side burner (left side) otherwise the big mount would get in the way. That is one way this grill could be improved, by having a less obtrusive mounting option for the (sold seperately) rotisserie kit. None of the parts were bent as I've seen on other posts, but the box was a little beaten looking.
