Kemore Premium Grille August 11, 2008
    via Sears.com
    By Anonymous of Atlanta, GA

After looking at many gas grilles in this or slightily higher price range I opted for this model, based on price, positvive reviews and overall Kenmore reputation for quality. I currently own a medium range Weber and have been pretty satisfied with it for over 5 years now. I wanted a well designed "stainless steel" to put on my upper deck close to the patio door instead of having to use the Weber at the outside patio. Here are my comments after using 12 to 18 times in the first month. The photo does not show that the outboard work surface and burner units are not stainless but powder coated...this takes away from the overall appearance The overall build quality is somewhat on the flimsy side and the only use of stainless is on the front and top cover of the unit. The stainless trim and doors are very light gauge and will dent very easily. The control knobs are cheap "plated" plastic rather that metal The burner assemblies are stainless and pretty heavy gauge and should last well. However, the output from the grill buners , although hot and fast to pre-heat are not even and hot spots and larger open flames happen at the front areas of the cooking area. The heat deflectors over the burners are very light gauge and not stainless like the Weber design.. at this price point this should not be the case. The side burner, which I use alot is great but the "painted" finish in which it sits will not last or be easy to keep clean if you use alot at high heat. The piezoelectric igniters are a great design and work very well. Overall, and for the price point I think the unit performs well, once you get used to it's cooking traits. For the money you can't expect semi-pro features of a more expensive unit. I just feel Kenmore really skimped on a few obvious details like heavier gauge construction and better designed key components that would have promoted longer life of the unit and better performance.

    Good Buy August 04, 2008
    via Sears.com
By CoreyDSM of Des Moines, IA

My old grill started to wear out so I started reading grill reviews online and looking at every store to which grill had the best features, built well, and priced the best. This Kenmore looked better than anything out there for the money. I have used it a few times and I am quite pleased with it. I haven't owned a stainless grill before so I hope the stainless will last. It seems to be built better than most of the brands in the same price catagory. I would recommend this grill to any one looking to spend under $1000.

Love this grill!! July 12, 2008

I went online about a month ago to find the best grill I could get for a reasonable price. I spent a lot of time on a lot of websites. What made my mind up was the consumer reports review. It was the highest rated grill in the price range I was looking in. And they were right. I love everything about this grill. I've had it for about a month and have used it at least a dozen times. Everytime my food has come out perfect. Flare ups are minimal(you're going to have some with any gas grill) and the temp. control is great. There is nothing I can complain about on this grill.

    heavy grilling July 10, 2008
    via Sears.com
    By grillerguy of Provo Utah

if you got this grill into the car yourself you should be on the gladiators! its a heavy grill. take them up on the free assembly its worth it if your not in a rush. If you are like me...you and your wife can put it together in about and hour and a half. with a couple of #2 phillips heads. the 5 burner is nice even flow of heat. its not clear how to turn the burners on in the low light and who wants to bend down to see the high med/low status. so its not an at night grill youll need a lite. I wish the sparker for auto ignite didnt spark the side burner and the rotissery after all if your only doing one your battery might last longer. the top of the batter terminals is the only thing that didnt seam well built. I would have liked a propane tank sliding drawer too, but they only offer those onthe 1500 models. it says in the instructions dont leave it onhigh or it might make the thing not work...hmm didnt like that. but all in all i like it. not sure what to do with the scraper for the food thing now it says not to use it on the porcilin. If you think you will chip the procilin then buy the extended warranty. but 2year and 10 year on burner seamed long enough for me i probably want a new grill in ten years. or tie the dog to it and throw the tennis ball. (thats why we got the new grill from the last time) other things i would have liked are bigger tires. the ones that come with it are for rolling on smooth surfaces. I dont know about you but we like to take it on the lawn and go for the shade. bigger tires and not the ones like are on my wifes salon buggy cart would have been better. we have sucessfully done burgers, steaks, salmon and as included instructions in the manual cupcakes. high on one side low on the other, i can remember if they tell you but if not switch the heat after half the time and go high on the other side and change the high to low on the originating side. turned out well. we also hollowed out some orages and bakce inside them too. (keeping themin a 6x9 to balance them out if they tipped over. worked well but took longer than the regular cupcakes in the pan with paper in it.
