Best grill I have ever owned already saved money by saving food February 15, 2011
We shopped around for a large grill to handle our 7 member family's needs to cook out all year long. Found this one on sale at Sears and selected it based on size, features, quality feel and price. Once it was home and in use, the chicken test told me this was not just a good deal, but the best grill I have ever owned. Bought a bag of those cheap chicken leg quarters. I usually have to microwave them first to start cooking so they will get done right. With this grill, I loaded the whole bag on, seared them, turned them and turned the flames down to low. Grill the whole bag of chicken at one time with room left. Remember, this type of chicken is usually fatter than others. Grilled twice now and both times the chicken got done all the way without burning. Usually we have flame-ups and charring. This grill can handle it!

Kenmore 5 burner gas grill a big disappointment December 21, 2010
I have been a lifelong Sears customer, but I may never buy another Kenmore grill. This model is terrible. The "stainless" metal side tables began to rust after two weeks. My wife called Sears and was told that it's an outdoor product and she should expect it to rust. I should have listened to her and carted it back to the store that day. Over a year later, the surface rust is quite widespread and trust me when I tell you that the bad appearance is only slightly more annoying to me than having to hear "I told you to take it back" every time we use the grill. The metal hood and cabinet are thin sheet metal and the screws to hold it together have rusted with stains on the product now. I've used the expensive Kenmore cover after every use. I vigorously clean the grates with a bristle brush after every use yet one of the grates has begun to rust. The only positive thing I can say about this grill is that it is huge. Very disappointed with this purchase.

Pros:
Large area for grilling,side burner works well,Cooks at low heat very wellSearing side burner does a awesome job on steaks. Natural Gas conversion kit makes this unit my best grill ever. Never an empty bottle again !

Cons:
Light weight metal used for cover and ho,Cheap parts,Stainless steel panels that rust,Paint faded to pink after 1 month,Poor quality burners,Bad electrodes,Short lifespan,Uneven heatingOK, first of all this is 3rd attepmt at writing this review, website has issues.
I had Sears put it together, mistake #1, bought the rotisserie mistake #2. the bottom cabinet was bent, the wheels on the bottom were bent, the bolts holding on the hood fell out while it was at 400deg. the rotisserie sections stripped out straight out of the box, (welded it together to use). Purchased a cover which was too big and get cought under the bent wheels. the only good thing about the cover is that it hides the fact that the cabinet is bent, the drawers are out of wack because of the bent frame. I waited 3 years to get a new grill, and now i'm stuck with this junk.... i can go on about other issues but bottom line I'm sorry that i ever got this thing!
