Just used my new Bagger it worked great ! May 09, 2011
Just used my new Bagger for the first time. It worked Great ! The only complaint I had was the rubber O-ring that going on to the cover of the bagger. I have the solution though. Contact cement. Put it on & let it dry for a day or two & your set. It's takes 5 minutes to install & 5 minutes to disassemble & clean. If you don't want to rack your yard I highly recomend this product !

Lower Chute Misfit July 19, 2009
Since I happen to be the handiest, smartest and most mechanically gifted person I know I was thoroughly convinced my lower chute was mis-packaged from another, smaller, model. I COULD NOT get the stupid thing to fit/work. I read the prior on-line reviews and WAS NOT going to heat-mold a brand new item. Instead, I was about to take the darn thing back! Before going to my local sears store with my WRONG lower chute and a cardboard cut-out of the deck opening I checked these on-line reviews one last time. I figured I'd try the instructions from a June 18, 2008 submission from "flake" from Arlington.---for the heck of it. SURPRISINGLY, it WORKED! Though I did have to enlarge the slot on top that had become deformed from sitting there misaligned for two weeks. But, "flake" was right. IT FIT! Now, if he can only tell me how to get the front, rubber, spring hook to fit without scraping the floating deck wheel I'll be happy. For the money though, and since it's supposedly made for this deck, I'd expect an easier fitting set-up. Since other reviews have reported NO Problem, and a snug fit, I suspect the mold does not produce a uniform shape and its hit-or-miss whether you'll have problems.

velocity indicator doesn't work wellI purchased this bagger to avoid raking the leaves during the winter months. Installing the bagger was easier than I thought. I had read reviews and the horrors people wrote about while installing their baggers; however, I did not have a problem installing it and it was fully attached to my lawn tractor within twenty minutes. I haves used this bagger system for my lawn on two different occassions. I mow my 1/2 acre yard with it and I have to empty the bagger three times. (I had to empty it five times the first time I used it because it picked up all the old grass clippings also).
I learned that with trash bags in the bin they do not fill to capacity. The baggers are easy to dump into a trash bag and have a handle on the bottom of the bag to assist with dumping it. I put a trash bag over the top of the bagger and flip it over, grab the handle on the bottom of the bagger and pull it out leaving the grass in the trash bag.
I rely heavily on reviews written by people who use expensiv e products and hope they are honest reviews. I highly recommend this bagger to customers. Enjoy the bagger.....It's easier than raking those leaves during the fall!

easy to install,got it on sale,Works Great !,Well madegot the new 24hp mower and bagger, I have been cutting grass late in the day so it's dry. Works like a charm and the two bags fill up one garbage bag perfectly. No complaints. Used it about 5 times so far great!

plugs with heavy grassAfter the wrong one was ordered:-( I received the correct bagger. My son installed it while I was out of town. I had on mulching blades the first time I tried it, and was not impressed. After cleaning the deck bottom and switching to the premium bagger blades, I gave it another shot on the 4th of July. The grass was long but dry. I plugged the chute a couple of times as a result ot the long thick grass. Simple fix, Slow down.
After mowing my 1.5 acre lawn, and looking at my work... I was very impressed with this piece of equipment. The new Craftsman mower bagger combination is lights out! I am very pleased!

poorly designed gasket assembly,The dustiest attachment ever,ZERO stars if I couldI just finished writing to sears about my disgust with this product. If I could have posted pics, I would have. The o-ring will NOT stay seated on the chute and grass clippings blow down my PANTS! Forget about using the cupholder; it, too, fills with grass. I came to the review section looking to see if anyone else experienced this problem....lo and behold the mechanically gifted found a solution! Since I do not fall into this category, I resorted to t-shirts and cable ties. Should this really be necessary on a $2,000.00 mowing set-up?!? I should mention that this was a gift from my out of town husband, so I did not look at the previous reviews. Rest assured I would have made a different selection....and you should, too!
