The sale was great! The delivery people were prompt & helpful teaching me how to use it. & it is a great lawnmower!

Had to send it back after 2 months.
I bought this in April and it worked fine and mowed great. Then a spring broke that helps keep the mower deck up. Every time I would go over a bump it would drop the deck to the lowest setting. I called Sears and a technician came out and found out there was a broken spring and ordered a new one. He came back out a few days later after it arrived. He worked on it for a few hours and finally said he couldn't get it back on that he needed help. A few days later he and another technician came out and worked on it half the day. Between them they had 70 years of experience working on mowers and they weren't able to fix even after talking to the manufacturer. The one tech told me he thought the mower was built around the spring. So they left and it's still not working. They returned about a week later and said it would have to be replaced. This went on for about a month. Obviously I didn't get this one as a replacement. I sent it back and got a refund. It's lucky it was under warranty. If it had happened a few years from now I would have been stuck with a mower than only mows really close to the ground. I caution anyone thinking about this mower to look at some of the others.

Not happy with this machine
I purchased this machine to mow 2 acres. The sales person was great and seemed to really know the machine. I have now mowed with it for three mowings. It just simply doesn't perform well. I rode my neighbors Deere unit and it steers better and the controls are more user friendly.

Look before you buy
sears has move to a cheap product. I am an engineer and will tell you this product is not well designed. Look at a Toro machine at Depot or a Snapper machine at your local dealer. Either one is a better machine.
