I have cut my grass 2 times allready this season . Mower has plenty of power and to my suprize cuts very evenly without the added wheels you can purchase for the deck of the mower. This rider cut my mowing time in half compared to my old rider. Love the speed. So far so good I love it.

Motor runs great, steers very easily, I like that the seat has a slide adjuster. Mowing in reverse is a good feature except that it only mows in reverse in the slowest speed. The clutch/brake operation is either on or off. You cannot engage in any gear without popping a wheely. This makes it very had to mow around obstacles. Also it will not slow down by depressing the clutch, it only stops. You have to stop the tractor and shift to a slower speed to go around something. Sears is coming soon to pick it up for a full refund. Customer service was very friendly and helpful.

mowing the lawngreat mower when i bought it was 1199 its on sale now wish i had weighted just used it for the frist time this weekend just wacth the cluch let it out easy and its fine if you drop it it will pop up it does not come with deck wheels like the pic. shows thats it ok for the money
always outsideIt scared me when they unloaded the tractor of the trailer. It sounded like the engine was coming apart. I later started it up to move it to the back. Once again it sounded almost like it was knocking or didn' have a muffler on it. It also lopes even at the higher RPMs. I went back to the store to Question these concerns and they told me they were both normal and would improve with time. He even started one that he had there, and it sounded the same. Scary!!!
mowing the lawnThis is my second and last Craftsman Tractor. I had the first for 9 years and its was still functioanl when I got the one I have now. The new unit has been nothing but trouble with at least 1 major repair problem in each of the last 4 years, and I should have dumped it in year 3.. The engine is fine, except for the ever dead baterry, the belts and transmission rattle constantly, and the cutting blade deck is so thin it will bend and produce an uneven cut at the slighest bump. Really a piece of junk.
Large urban lawnJust picked up my LTS2000 today and found that there is a learning curve to overcome when owning this tractor. After I figured everything out I find this to be a very, almost too powerful machine that seems to be built very well.
My first trouble was with starting the motor for the first time. I filled the tank with fresh gas and added Stabil to the tank right away also and checked the oil level and it was good. Since the temperature was 40* F I used the cold starting guide in the manual. Well after a few minutes of it running rough it finally smoothed out and runs great. I am sure that this was just because it was cold out and it was the egines first strart. Even though, I still called Sears to tell them about it so it is on file if I have any trouble with the motor in the future.
Now here is the funny / scary thing about my new tractor. The clutch is very touchy and I actually pulled the front wheels off the ground 2 times in 6th gear and even once in 5th gear with out trying to. I find that I have to be really carefull letting out the clutch in higher gears and even in reverse if you are not really carefull can buck you off the machine. I called Sears also to report this and they said that this is normal especially with the seat all the way back for a 200 lbs rider like myself and the clutch just needs some time to wear in a little. I hope that the Sears tech is right about this as I sold my 17plus year old perfect running MTD for a new tractor, just figured I would get a new one before the old ones goes out.
