    LOOKS GOOD AND RUNS GOOD November 27, 2009

    I NOW HAVE THE MOWER ONE MONTH AND EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD, EXCEPT  I DO AGREE THE SEAT IS SLIPPERY AND UNCOMFORTABLE .  I'M 5'7'' AND THE REAL BAD FEATURE IS THAT WHEN YOU ENGAGE THE MOWER DECK , I MOVE TO SHIFT THE LEVER TO THE FRONT AND  IT CUTS THE ENGINE OUT. THE SEAT  SENSOR IS VERY SENSITIVE AND IF YOU DON'T JUST SIT RIGHT THIS WILL HAPPEN EVEN DRIVING IT AROUND THE LAWN. THE GAS TANK COULD BE BETTER SITUATED.

    Don't do it! September 03, 2009

    I am a single mom with two acres of land surrounding my property, so I went to Sears in search of a good riding mower.  I purchased this mower with some accessories when it was up in the $1600 range.  What a big mistake!  I have had it for 4 years, maybe used it about 10 times...I purchased the extended warranty for an additional $300.  While my neighbors use the cheap ******* mower and their yard looks like someone immaculately cut it with scissors...my yard is so uneven it is ridiculous.  I would only cut the back yard with it, and use the push mower for the front..which defeats my purpose for buying the thing.  Now that the warranty is over, it won't start.  I wanted to purchase another warranty, but the price is $650 for ONE year!!!  For that price, I will put an extra $200 to it and go to ******* and get the mower my neighbor has...that cuts grass immaculately!  Unless you are a mechanic and like uneven grass...don't buy it...go to *******.

    I have been using my Craftsman LT 2000 lawn tractor for 5 years and have had no problems. I have approx. a 10,000 sq. ft. lot of which there is a slight slope on the sides and back yard. The tractor has no problems negotiaing the slight slopes and I am satisfied with the cut I get on the grass, I have had several compliments on my lawn.

    This lawnmower has leaked gas all over my garage. I have been buying sears lawn tractors for 30 years. Never again. Won't go to came apart (k Mart) either

    I purchased the LT 2000 at my local Sears store in October of 2009 for a $1000.  I got it home and all that  was needed before it was ready to mow was tire pressure increased and the mowing deck adjusted. Correct tire pressure and proper setting of the mowing deck wheels ensures an even cut.  It is now spring time and I have been mowing an acre of grass each week for several weeks now and the mower has been working great. It starts on the first turn of the key. The hydrostatic transmission operates smoothly and is a nice feature. The mower seems to have plenty of power which makes cutting tall grass an ease.  The mower has been reliable and has meet most of my expectations to date.
