Craftsman 42" "O" turn 21hp Briggs & Stratton April 03, 2011
I have had my mower going on 4 months and I love it! Best mower I have ever had. Con: it is to safe. The seat safety switch is bad for getting on and off to open gates. The parking latch is hard to operate and appears to be, again, over safe. Pro: gets into tight places around trees and shrubs with a breeze. Love the electric deck leveling. Cuts very well and even. Fuel and oil is easy to get to and the engine is readily open for inspection. Cuts as fast as you would want it to. The cheapest costing mower I have found anywhere.

Don't waste your money November 04, 2010
Purchased this mower in 2009. Within the first month we couldn't get it to start. Had to have Sears out to raise the idle so that it would run. The mower worked great for approximately 45 days. At that point it started cutting really rough. Lines of grass stayed taller than the rest and my husband would go over it twice and would still not make a difference. He thought it was a leveling problem with the blades and replaced the blades. Did not help. After months of trying to work through this problem, we called Sears to come look at the mower. The tech noted that although the mower is not cutting correctly, there is no physical problem to fix. After every attempt to improve the mower's performance the cut is the same. We called Sears back to let them know the problem is still an issue and they scheduled yet another appointment. Needless to say, that went the same. We went through this a third time. By the fourth appointment, my husband took off work half a day to be home once again from 1-5 and they didn't show. It was their policy to make all these appointments and cancelled the last one without any notice. We called for them to tell us there is nothing they will do. We are contacting our attorney. This mower was too expensive to cut so poorly.

Amazing! November 23, 2011

I bought this to replace my Yard Machine riding mower that had been dying a slow death the past coulpe of years (it was 10 years old). This new Craftsman zero turn cut my time down from an hour and a half to 20 minutes! It is fast, and cuts in both forward and reverse, which is nice. Took a while to get used to steering it, but now it is easy. I like the controls, they are all simple to use. The only con with the mower is that the gas tank is black, and there is no gas guage. Oh, one other con: now that it only takes 20 minutes to mow my 1/2 acre, my wife now thinks I should knock more off of her 'honey do' list. :)

Not good at mulchingThis is a very good mower for the price. Many features you would find on a mower much more expensive. Mows my 1 acre lot quickly. Starts quickly, runs smooth, tough quality build. I highly recommend this mower over more expensive brands that your only paying for the brand name. Recommend getting the bagged for it also.

cuts mowing time in halfBought this mower in Feb to replace my 22 year old Craftsman riding mower. My old mower had mulching blades so I made sure I could get mulching blades for my new zero turn. My mower was delivered in two days, but the mulching blades took over a month. Without the mulching blades the mower through the grass in the street, in the flower beds and even in the pool. Was I happy to get those mulching blades!!! Now I actually like mowing the lawn again.
