Husqvarna saw works well for small jobs. October 10, 2010
This chain saw is well suited for smaller jobs. I bought it for clean up work after several storms. It worked great for smaller branches but felt underpowered on the larger ones. If I had to do it again, I would've purchased a larger model. This model is good to have around for emergencies though.

doesnt live up to its reputation April 23, 2010
Bought this a year ago, had to take to Husqvarna dealer after fist week( wouldn't run). Company repaced it with a new one.Two weeks later happened again. Company replaced with an upgrade. In storage all winter. Tried it last week, guess what? Its in the shop ...again. Instead of having it repaired, I will buy a differnt brand of saw, or have my Sthil repaired as I have had it 7 yrs and it broke down for the fist time last summer.

difficult start, poor idling - stops quickly. Also thought i ws getting the 235 E and received the regular 235 which does not have the chain tensionng wheel

Based on what i had heard about the qualtity of Husqvarna products, i chose to get this saw to replace my tired mid 70's Homelite chain saw.
Had a lil bit of trouble geting it to start out of the box, even tho I followed the instructions to the letter.(Even got EXACTLY 2 gallons of recommended octane gas to mix with Husqvarna oil.)
So far, only used it a few times, mostly on small branch clean up, and small leftover tree stump removal, left over from last fall's felling using a bow saw of stumps being 2 ft or so in length.
Ran great, cut VERY nicely and quickly with no effort.
I DID notice what I would call less than normal bar /chain oil being sent out to oil everything up , and will check into that problem/issue b4 i use the saw again.
Was not 100% pleased overall with initial startup(even took a bit of trying to start it the 2nd try with it) and the possible chain/bar lube problem. I kind of thought i would get a no problem experience and be very pleased with what i bought, but right now, early on I'm not at that point. Things might iron themselves out and I will be very pleased and glad I bought this saw, but right now I'm kinda so -so on it.
When doing my research on saws, I was leaning toward Husqvarna and Stihl,,,, and thought i went with a good choice. But like i said, maybe things will work themselves out and I will be a happy camper and 100% glad I bought this saw.

Bought this Husqvarna on sale to replace a 30 year old one that served me well. It's not as strong as the old one but i bought for smaller stuff
started right out of the box and worked all day. it works well. used premium gas and had no starting problems

Excellent Lightweight Chain Saw December 29, 2010

I wanted a lighter chainsaw for pruning, limbing and smaller saplings and this was the perfect fit. I also have a much heavier 24" 60.3cc Husqvarna for serious tree felling but this lighter chain saw is simply better (and safer) on smaller jobs. Husqvarna quality remains top-notch and I have never had any issues with any Husqvarna equipment. It is well designed and very reliable if used for its intended task. However, I would recommend higher octane fuel (the manual says 87 is fine) for any extended work with this saw. Its worth the extra 30-40 cents a gallon and it will give you much better performance from this engine. You won't find a better chain saw at this price point.
