This Craftsman Pro chainsaw has all the power you want October 18, 2010
Great saw so far. I have only cut a couple 12" diameter trees down and diced them up into 18" logs. And used it on a deck construction job slicing through 6x6 beams like they were butter. I am very impressed. Too bad it doesn't start on the first pull like my Honda mower. But 4 easy pulls isn't too bad. Yeah, I'd buy it again. I'm thinking of buying some tree climbing spurs and going into the bussiness.

I have had a 16 craftsman for years so when it came time to upgrade I went right back to Sears. Bought two days ago and have cut approx 15 trees with this saw. If you like wearing gloves while you cut do not buy this saw, because I cannot start it with gloves on. However, if you like a saw that is very hard to start after running out of fuel and does not cut straight then this is the saw for you! Chain will not stay tight and dulls very quickly.

very little to zero vibration,Plenty of powerI have had this Craftsman Pro chainsaw for two years, it always starts right up and has been a very dependable saw. I have cut more wood with this saw in the last several years than most saws will ever see in a lifetime of use. I have been very impressed with it. Last year my son was working for a guy and needed to borrow my saw for several days. The guy and my saw fell forty feet out of a tree, the guy broke his hip and the saw only bent the bar. I straightened the bar out and have cut up countless trees with that bar. I finally replaced the bar this year. Last week the handle broke on it, which probably fractured from the fall last year.
I too had the chain tightening tool break on me the very first time I tried to loosen up the two bolts that keep the chain tight. I've used a 3/8 ratchet ever since then with a 13mm socket.

Chain comes loose too quicklyMy wife got me this saw for my birthday in march and its never worked right from the day i took it out of the box. First problem it wouldn't stay running then it would even start after having that repaired i get it back and now it starts nice but as soon as you go to cut anything the chain stops and the motor dies. I have never had a new saw that has had the problems this one has right out of the box. I have used this saw for about 10 hours of cutting and now it has to go back to sears again. Out of having this saw for for 3 months sears has had it for a month the first time and probably a month this time. There warranty is a joke every-time you have a problem it takes them at least a month to get back to you. Very disappointed with this saw this will be the last chain saw that i ever buy from sears. Im very sorry that I bought this saw. JUNK

Cold start takes 4 pullsGreat saw so far. I have only cut a couple 12" diameter trees down and diced them up into 18" logs.
