My Black & Decker Electric Lawn Mower lasts over 20 years ! July 12, 2010
Bought my Black & Decker electric lawn mower (Model M200, obsolete already) in 1989. And it has served me well in the last 21 years. When I first bought it, no body was talking about "green" and all my neighbors were laughing at me, wondering what I was doing with a lawn mower with a power cord. However, my lawn mower out last them all! My lovely B&D lawn mower finally die yesterday, the motor just quit. I hope I can rebuild the motor with parts from B&D, or else get another one.

when it works, it's great June 24, 2010
I loved my Black & Decker electric mower when it worked. It was lightweight, easy to use, and didn't stink of gasoline. But in less than one year it quit working and I couldn't have it repaired. I didn't put it under any strenuous use; my yard is only about 50 square feet. Not worth buying a new one every year.

Pros:
easy to use,Light,powerful and easy to useWe have a small yard that is too large to skim (ruins the grass) and too small to deal with a gas mower (plugs and maintenance etc). This mower went together in 5 minutes and is completely encased so you can wash off the wheels when done. We do not have a storage shed so this gets stored on our patio. Just compact enough to fit! Mower is light and easy to use....my wife has actually mowed the lawn! Great purchase!

Pros:
Lightbox was awkward and much heavier than the mower is. Mower is very lightweight and easy to use. Assembly was tool-free, but assembly of the lower handle to the body of the mower was somewhat tricky, to get both sides lined up and inserted far enough to click into place.

Pros:
easy to use,LightWas easy to unpack but the inserts that go into the holes where the handles go into the machine are not intuitive to install and took about 15 minutes to finally figure it out. The illustrations are ok but not the best. Just not quite enough detail and quite small. Other than that simple. Its light and quiet and the single control for all wheels is easy to use. Cuts well. In tall grass better to use a 3/4 cut to prevent or reduce bogging. So far it is just what we wanted.
