Remington  24V 19'' 3-n-1 Cordless Mower - 50 state

I have a 6,000 square foot lawn area. Be aware that you must charge the battery for 14 hours before using. Also, the instructions are incorrect about charging. The charger displays a red light during the charging period. I thought there was a problem, but I saw another post regarding this...just let it go for 14 hours and then it will display green when charged. Also, the lights on the battery only light up when mower is in use. After charging, mower started right up. My lawn was a jungle and i hacked through it on a higher setting. I was then able to go over about 1/2 of it a second time at a lower setting before battery died. The engine strained a bit when cutting on setting 2 (2nd lowest). This may have been from the previous work out of hacking through 12-15 inch grass. There were a bunch of stray tall grasses, which were taken care of on the second cut. My initial reaction:I like this mower. Not as powerful as a gas engine, but it starts without having to hurt my back!

After first used it was easy to operate and re-charge.

I've used my Remington mower for about a year on my 1/4 acre lawn. It has been very satisfactory until the past month when the battery began to charge less than completely. In addition, it no longer holds a full charge to complete even half the yard. If you buy this mower, it is important that you buy the extended warranty, which covers replacement of a defective battery, though it is unclear at this point whether Sears is going to honor the terms of the warranty. They are telling me that the battery is fine and that it is only my charger which is a problem. Stay tuned.

I have only used the mower once, but it has performed as advertised. I was worried that I might have trouble putting it together out of the shipping crate, but it wasn't a problem at all.

I bought a Remington electric mower and this model has a 2 year mfg warranty. NOT SEARS WARRANTY. When I brought it in for repairs, Sears service dept told me that they no longer have a contract and would not accept this lawn mower for repair. It's from SEARS!!! No it is not an actual Sears or Craftsman brand, as I was informed by Sears and you must now look for a repair center on your own and here is the 800 number to locate one. Are you kidding me!!! So here is a 45lb paperweight that I was stuck with and had to drive 20 miles to get it repaired. The problem: the battery would no longer hold a charge and this is after only 20 uses and I have a very small lawn. I had the lawnmower just for one season. Not worth even considering Remington brands again. Sears still sells this model both in store and online. Only way Sears will repair this model is if you buy the additional $100 insurance.

I purchased this mower for a 450sqft backyard on 24 Sept 2011. Used it about once per month until this August 2012 when I went to mow the yard and found that the battery was swollen, really hot and would not fit into the mower! So I take the battery back to Sears Escondido. I then get a call saying Remington will not replace the battery but Sears should since it is under a year old. So I'm expecting a replacement but what do I get? A manager (Monica) who kinda laughs and shrugs my wife and I off and offers to "help me" purchase a new battery!!! REALLY?!? Help me spend more money on a battery that may fail after less than a year so I can spend even more money? She gives me the Store Managers #, I walk outside and call and who answers but MONICA!!! Well then I decide to call the Sears "Customer Solutions" number and Tavanya tells me to call Remington, I tell her I didn't purchase this from Remington, I purchased this from Sears! She tells me, Sears is ONLY A VENDOR! What? ?????????

Let me make this short and sweet, I love it. I have mowed my lawn  4 times now and it still does not require a charge, it's getting there though (I do the back yard only front yard is bark). The mower is powerful and pretty quite, I just love the height adjustment all four wheels one lever adjustment and you're done. The battery is a little heavy, and makes the mower a little heavy as a result, but I like lots of lead in any rechargeable battery in lawn equipment, high quality.I would buy this lawn mower all over again, don't tell my wife but I almost enjoy cutting the grass.

This mower has all the power needed to mow a large lawn. I usually mow my lawn twice. First a bagged cut, then a mulch cut. Battery is removeable so I keep it out of my hot garage. Great power & quiet, easy operation makes it a winner.

Had no problem rolling the mower out of the box and asembly. Did as directed and charged for 14 hours before using. Battery sounded very strong and lasted the entime of cutting my lawn which was a half-hour.. It sounded as strong as when I began..If it continues this performance I'll be satisfied with the purchase.
