    Excellent Mower! February 09, 2009

I bought this mower last August because my Cub Cadet rear wheel drive push mower died. I looked at the Toro, John Deere, and many other similar mowers, but when I saw this online, I had to check it out. The Snapper name really caught my interest because I know they are reliable. I love the key start, and the ease of changing from discharge to mulch to bag. The fresh start fuel cap is neat too. I also think that the fact that you don't have to prime it is cool. All you have to do is fill it with gas and turn the key! The rear wheel drive is very powerful, and gets me up my steep backyard hill quicklty. I must say that for the price, you get a solid mower.

    fast May 10, 2009

I bought this mower based on the reviews here. It starts great and is fast. Lost handle knob and bolt, don't know if it broke or loosened up. Grass gets caught underneath somewhere between belt and transmission, preventing it from being abled to be pulled backwards, seems to still be in slight forward position. If I wash the area out, it is good for a short time.

    Love it! March 21, 2011
    By TLittle of Rogers, AR
    Pros:
    easy to push,I TURN A KEY.,ITS A 10,Easy to change modes
    Cons:
    small bag

Love Love Love it! Just took it out for the first time today. So easy to use that I had fun mowing! I have a 1/5 acre lot and my first mow of the season I had to empty the bag 9 or 10 times. So, yes, the bag is small, but I'm still VERY happy with my purchase! Also, there's a battery hooked up to the electric ignition and they recommend a 48 hour charge before use, just fyi.

great value for money October 04, 2010
    By yeetee of Ashland, OR

we just purchased our 1st house & it has a large lawn. We were looking everywhere for a reliable lawnmower that does not cost an arm & a leg. Found this on sears.com with great reviews. Used it for over 6 months now, no issues apart from regular maintenance type stuff.

    Our Snapper is a self-propelled, rear-wheel, keystart lawnmower. July 27, 2010
By lawnlady of Pearl River, LA
    Pros:
    easy to push,I TURN A KEY.,ITS A 10,You can always trust a Sears product,Easy to change modes,easy to start,Love mine,confiable,confidentially trustworthy,Easy to handle.
    Cons:
no wash out head on the deck, speed control very sensitive

We recently purchased a John Deere self-propelled  lawnmower which we kept all of two days before returning it for a refund.  We then decided to try a Snapper self-propelled lawnmower with a keystart.  This lawnmower was very easy to guide and turn.  It was a cinch to empty the bagger, which held a surprisingly large amount of clippings.  The mowing was finished in half the time that it usually took us with our old mower.  It is easy to back up and doesn't lock like the first mower we tried.

We are very satisfied with our new purchase and would highly recommend this lawnmower to anyone who is in the market for a good, easy to use lawnmower.

Very disapponted, a poorly made fragile mower. July 23, 2010
    By ThePatriot of Portland, OR
    Pros:
    easy to start
    Cons:
    small difficult bag

I purchased this machine to replace our old mower that was 20 years old.  This Snapper mower looked great on the Sears display and seemed to have all the features necessary,  I've always associated the Snapper brand with quality but that has certainly changed.  This lawnmower is  built to be cheap, and it shows.  It blows grass all over the mower and operator which means you need to clean the top of the engine off every time you need to refuel it, which is often as it uses a lot of gas.  The knobs on the side are easily broken as they really stick out and are made of cheap plastic.  The flimsy height adjusters are a pain.  This mower has 6.75 printed on the engine.  When I bought it I assumed that was a HP rating but it's a TORQUE figure and this mower is easily bogged, especially using the mulching mode-really needs more power.  My Snapper also has a lot of vibration, feels like a crank or main bearing is on it's way out.

This is a very negative sounding review but I expected some quality for the price ,especially with the Snapper name.
