A tough mower that gets the job done. April 01, 2011

This mower has been the best mower I've ever owned. It takes a beating and keeps on cutting. For the price you can't beat it's performance. With regular maintenance it should last for years. It's for smaller lawns but can handle the taller grass also. I've never had a problem starting the mower and it's good on gas also. I didn't purchase the extended warranty for this item. Actually in this case I'm happy I didn't since it's such a good performer. I've had the mower for 2 years. As far as negatives I can't think of any.

I like it less and less every time I use it June 15, 2009

The only good things I can say for this mower is that it starts easy, and the self propel works well and has a good pace. Other than that this thing is junk. The handle is not adjustable, and is too low for me, and I'm only 5'10". The grass has to be completely dry, or the deck clogs, even with the mulch attachment off. And when I say dry, I mean Sahara Desert, Death Valley dry. If there is dew that morning and you cut that afternoon, you will be re-cranking every 5-10 minutes. If the grass is a little overgrown, forget about it. Anything over 5 inches tall and this thing chokes. This mower is cheap, because it's cheap, not a good value for the money. I wish I'd never purchased it.

    AWESOME MOWER!!! June 21, 2011
By kellydavidson of mcchord afb, WA
    Pros:
    easy start,nice lawn,self propelled,Easy to take care of/ Warranty

Honestly, this is the first lawn mower that my husband and I ever bought. I bought it from Sear's while he was deployed in 2008 hoping to not only surprise him with the lawn mower but that maybe I would be able to help out more around the yard. The lawn mower is awesome. It's 20 times better than the one my parents have (from Walmart), and all the neighbors seem to admire it as well. It starts up easy either with the key start or the pull cord, again, a lot easier than any others I have come across. Runs smoothly and straight. Very easy to manuver and steer. Easy to change out the bag as well. It is relativly quiet for a lawn mower. If he is outside mowing and I am inside typing, it doesn't bother me at all. We got a great warranty with this lawn mower, and the only problem we had with it was that my husband left it on the patio one day instead of putting it in the shed and the dog chewed the pull cord. We took it in to a Sear's repair shop and we didn't even have to pay to fix it. They were great. We went ahead and got the tune up done for $70 dollars. Was well worth it. This lawnmower is now 3 years old and in wonderful shape, and runs strong. I would highly reccomend this lawn mower to ANYONE. Very easy to use. Thank you Sear's.

Great easy to use not hard to push. April 08, 2011
    By bonnerssaints of sacramento, CA
    Pros:
    self propelled,easy start,nice lawn
    Cons:
gas wish it were electric for eco

We bought this craftsman self propelled mower. It is easy to start and great for me because I was in a car accident a couple of years back and needed something I wouldn't have to push to hard on.This fits the bill.We maintain it by getting the oil at sears and good gasoline.check your plugs every 6 months and have sears sharpen your blades when needed. We are eenjoying haveing a fresh cut lawn for our granbaby and the pups.

Mower works fine, struggles in very tall grass May 04, 2010
    By gdickirs of Plymouth, MI

This is the beginning of the second season for me using this mower. It starts easy and cuts good and it is easy to use. It does struggle in 5" to 6" grass. It handles 4" or shorter grass just fine.
