Good right out of the box... October 05, 2008
Everything on this mower has worked as expected from the initial use. The key start was worth the extra money. It has always started on the first try. My old mower's bag had supports that stood out and always ripped my lawn bag when I was emptying it. This bag design is much easier to empty and doesn't tear up my lawn bag. The only criticism I have is in regard to the back wheels. They seem a little loose and and don't always stand straight up (there's slop in the design). I don't think it is affecting the overall performance, but it makes the mower look like it's sagging from the back.

Despite my high expectations for this Craftsman product, top of its line, I had to return the first one after only three mows, because it would no longer start, and the front wheel supports did not hold up the mower. Two days after exchanging for another of the same model, I assembled it right out of the box, mowed one line, emptied the bag, and it would not start again despite many attempts! I cannot use a product that is not assembled and adjusted correctly to run, at the factory. Too bad, I am an otherwise loyal Craftsman/Sears customer.

Great little mower....but November 16, 2008

This is my second front drive, electric start mower from Sears. The first lasted as an electricstart for about 4 years. It always started..manually in one pull because it had a 'primer' bulb. this new mower is nice..but it doesn't start as easy. There is no primer bulb to prime the engine before starting. Therefore, it takes at least 4 or 5 pulls to get it started with the pull rope. The old method...wth prime bulb is much better.

this mower has the worst bagger I have ever seen. The angle of the bag is so high that the grass clippings only fill the bag 30 to 40% full. I took it to my local sears store, they would not even look at it. Service was non existant. DON'T BUY SEARS MOWERS EXCEPT AS A LAST RESORT.
