Great addition and soo convenient, great battery!
Package deal with trimmer and blower. Also came with the lith-ion battery in package. I think this is important because of the bad reviews on battery life. I've used the trimmer and blower to do my front yard 2 separate occasions, and still have battery. In between, i use it to drill and in my saw all on the original charge.
Now I know some people hold the trigger down and trim full speed their whole yard. I pull the trigger and let off like shooting a pistol, so this may add to my battery life. I bought the set because I have a bunch of other C3 tools already and more batteries, but I never had a lit-ion one. The full power all the way till the battery dies is great! I can use the blower or impact wrench without any decline in power, unlike my old ni-cd batteries. I have a suburban house in So Cal, so maybe some people have an acre yard in the country and this isnt good, but for any regular "track" house type in a neighborhood, this is a great tool, even just the weed wacker.

Good for small jobs
I thought the battery would hold a longer charge. Like the lightwieght of the tools. One problem is that sears does not stock replacement spools for the trimmer. If you go to order online from sears, it has to be shipped and the cost of the spool and shipping is high. Apparently the trimmer is made by Ryobi, and I found the spools online at eReplacementparts.com dirt cheap. The cost for 3 spools plus shipping was less that 1 spool at sears.com.

It Wasn't Nice, So I Had To Returned It Twice...Done
Right out of the box, the tube release button on the blower (neck) was broken: big crack in the neck that's part of the main housing. This rendered the button nonfunctional and the tube would simple twist, release itself, and then fall off. Returned it, got a new box, and had the exact same problem. The plastic tube release button is either made of cheap plastic, plastic that is too thin, or both. Sorry. I really wanted this to work out because the price/quality ratio appeared good.

Nice light duty combo
Works nice for light duty work. Very light and portable. Only one downside. I would like to have an extra string spool so I don't have to stop trimming to rewind new string. Can't get replacement spool in store, but can through parts direct for 3.99, BUT it costs 8.00 in shipping to get it. Cannot justifying paying twice as much for shipping as the part costs. Guess I stop and rewind.

C3 Combo Kit Trimmer and Blower
Both perform well. They are not super powerful but get the job done. Battery life is good even under extended use. My wife likes them both because of ease of starting - push of a button, and they are light weight. We used them all of last season for trimming around trees and fence posts and blowing the patio.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

Surprised me on how great a job it did
I purchased this combo to get away from the gas trimmer and blower I have. I have a ton of C3 tools and am very satisfied with them. This trimmer and blower surprised me!!! They work great on my relatively small yard. The lithium battery has enough power to trim both my front and back yards and run the blower for clean up with no problem....

I bought this mostly for the blower. It was weak. And the battery lasted only 15-20 minutes of continued use. Totally worthless.
