My husband loves his new toy. February 02, 2012

I bought this for my husband for his birthday.  He LOVES it.  He was already out using it.  He said that it is very powerful and does a great job.  The reason for the 4 stars is that he said that bag fill up fast so you need to empty it frequently and it gets heavy after a while.  Even with the two small nitches, he can't wait to use it again.

I have owned this blower/vac for about 4 years now. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a blower/vac all in one. It does tend to get a little heavy at times but that is to be expected with this type of unit. The ease of changing from blower to vac with just the flick of a lever is awesome! This thing has started exactly the same for 4 years for me. The ONLY complaint that I have about this is that the back for the unit is a little small. It would be nice if it was about twice the size.

When mine dies I will for sure be getting another one!!!

First few months owning this Blower, winter work, blowing leaves are not hard to do and it does a great job "better than any others I have ran !" the valve/lever to the blower/vac tends to move once and while, making it a bit hard to get the job done as quickly as I would like, the bag tends to get dragged on the ground unless you have a shoulder strap for this unit., the bag would be better if it was moved to the back (along the persons back) or some kind of heavy duty non-skid bottom material, to keep it from damage as well (5'10" or shorter person).

I Like the power it has as a blower (5+stars), a bit bulky at times because of its size, I need to stop on large jobs, I have a 1/2archer of property so I must do it in quarters.

The Vacuum part of this unit I haven't been able to use as of yet, the inlet doesn't seem to big, so it might not get big leafs as good as smaller leafs.

The over all apprentice and controls work very well on this unit, except the valve / lever to the blower to vac IMO, witch tends to move and bogs down a bit & the bag dragging because of my height.

I'd love this blower much more if the throttle was a lever instead of a switch.

I also found the fuel mix should be (added) a little more than normal to the fuel, to protect the massive 31cc motor, this unit tends to like to stay cooler this way, than to fallow the recommended Manufactures recommendation's, witch tends to make this unit run much more hotter.,I also use Sta-Bil, witch helps with storing my fuels & better starts, witch most Manufactures state to use.

Very Functional Unit December 06, 2008

I am using the Yardman primarily for leaf gathering and this unit is well designed for that since the bag is directly under the unit when vacuuming leaves. It is about a 5:1 reduction, not 10:1 and some leaves remain larger than preparation as mulch. The unit is also very heavy to hold for long periods. However, it is very well built and the blower function is good. I like the set speeds rather than the trigger speed which is variable on other units. After about 1.5 months, I am anxious to see it last through the warranty period.
