Gas Blower
Worked well, right out of the box. Had to figure out a few things with the vacuum attachment, but was surprised at its effectiveness, as it was a minor consideration in the purchase. Glad I went for the blower with that capability - was able to vac the rain gutters via a "custom" attachment. The blower worked very well - stronger than I expected. I didn't find the small nozzle much of an advantage, however, and left it off most of the time.

Hard to start and poorly engineered!!
I had this blower/vac for less then a month. Used it 4 times as a blower and once as a vac.Took over 10 pulls every time to start. Simpul Technology is a joke.. First time I used the vac to pick up leaves. The exhaust burned a hole in the collection bag. Leaves were coming out as fast as they went in. Poorly designed to have exhaust exit engine right where the bag is. Returned it to the Sears Hardware store where I bought it for a full refund. Of course they wanted to sell me the more expensive blower/vac. Once was enough for me....

Not what they used to be
I purchased this unit 2 yrs ago. At the end of my first season the pull cord locked up. Under warranty sent it in for repair and the cost to repair would exceed the value of the unit. I was given a new unit and now In about the same time frame the replacement unit is mechanically locked up. I am small engine savy and make sure the fuel mix is to spec. I guess Sears' Chinese manufacturer is cutting corners. It's a shame such a good brand name is losing its credibility. I am trying somebody else's Chinese unit this time around. It was very handy while it lasted.

I have had this blower for 1 1/2. i own a small lawn business. i had to replace it once a guy working with me put the wrong mix in. other than that this is the best blower i have ever used,recommenced if your looking for dependable blower ,

A disappointing purchase
I've owned this blower for a year, maybe less. In that time, I doubt it has run 3 hours total. Just so you know, I am quite savvy to small engines and equipment. the Easy Start system does not work well. From day 1, this blower has been hard to start, if it will start at all. The trigger throttle must be in perfect position after the beginning sequence or the engine floods and you have to wait. IF you can get it started, the blower works just fine but since I've spent more time borrowing my neighbors than using mine? I've rated this product poor. This was not what I expected since my edger (20 yrs old) and my weed whacker (15 yrs old) are both Craftsman and are still working flawlessly.

Powerful blower
Even when the engine is idling it will blow leaves quite well. I had a 12 amp electric blower/mulcher for 10 years. I decided to cut the cord and go for this gas blower. I never mulch with a blower because I have too many leaves. I would have given it 5 stars but I don't know how well it mulches. Follow cold starting instructions, (pump six times) then it starts and runs well.
