Very good blower January 13, 2009
I bought this blower/vac in November after my 20-year old old electric Black and Decker finally called it quits. I read the reviews here, some of which were very negative, but I have to say I have had absolutely no problems with this machine. It starts easily, cold or warm, as long as you follow the proper sequence that is given in the manual and shown on the unit. It has plenty of power to blow wet or dry leaves, small branches, mulch, and small stones. I have even used it to blow light snow off my driveway, cars, and wood pile covers. My lawn is about 1/2 acre, and this blower clears the lawn in less than half the time I used to spend with my old electric model. My only gripe is that the fuel tank is pretty small and needs to be refilled frequently, but making the tank bigger would add weight, so I can live with the small tank. I have yet to use the vacuum feature, but I recommend this machine to anyone looking for a reasonably-priced, powerful blower.

Would NEVER purchase this product. The design is terrible.I have it is because it was a replacement for my 3 year old model that was not repairable. The tubes are cheap thin plastic. The trigger for the speed is tiresome on the hands and fingers and the intake, if you are right handed, sticks to your leg and sucks in your shirt. I have owned 3 Craftsman blower/ vacs and they never last more than 2 or 3 years. After my last purchase I bought the extended warranty knowing they don't last and after sending it out on 3 occasions, got this one. They run fine for the first year and then you start having trouble with them. This will be the last Craftman blower/ vac I will own. Don't buy it!!!

Vibrates a little but no problem.,Clumsy to handle as vacuumI totally believe in craftsman products however I have only used my blower/vac twice and both times it overheated and shot sparks from the exhaust. When I call the store in Dickensen ND about the problem, I was told there is nothing they can really do about the problem. I should just keep using it.

Vibrates a little but no problem.,Some vibration but not troublesomeIt took a while to start it - of course once a read the starting directions it started on the 5th full. The second and third time I have used it it has started by the third pull. The fit of the blow tube is not that good the tip and the 2 two tubs keep separating. I duct taped them and they work fine that way. The vac tubes are the same not a very good fit. It is a strong machine and does the job. I have a large driveway that I blow off and for that it works great.
