Getting close to stumps, concrete, fences with destroy the trimmer cutter. They need to improve the toughness of the trimmer line.

The string last no time at all. I took the unit back and the store manager told me to try the Model# 85905, 0.155 trimmer line for the bigger trimmers. He said it would last longer. So I spent $ 12 and found that to be a waste also. Yes, the heavier string lasted a little longer, but the unit was then underpowered. A little tall grass and it would bog down so bad it would not cut anything. The manager told me that Craftsman has complaints about having to refeed a spool, that is why they went to this style head. Trust me, a bump spool is best. They may need to redesign and bump head, I don't know. But I do know that this unit is underpowered and will eat the string up within 30'.
