6 Month Alignment

About 8 weeks ago, I took my my 2008 Lexus for allignment to the Grand Canyon store of Sears. Customer service, smiles were all positive. I got my car. The degree of the "pulling to right" did not change one bit. First I blamed myself and thought maybe the roads are leaning towards right so the rain water finds its way. 2 days later, I went back there. A different employee this time, still full of smiles, explained to me that from the results he can tell that this is the best that can be done. I said "you gave 6 months warranty, don't you want to re-check to see if your mechanic was maybe wrong?" Answer, "No". The results says it all. Frustrated, I went to "Collusion Authority", a descent repairshop that I know since they fixed my older car. He took my car, came back in less than an hour with before and after results and it is now as straight as can be. I myself work at a place with about 9000 employees. I'm sorry Sears, but you will never see me in any of your stores again.

The men that did the alignment did it fast, but you could see they were watching the screen together and made sure all was right. Also keep me informed that all was good, just needed a little ajustment.

My experience with sears alignment (Fletcher Pkwy in El Cajon, Ca.): I chose Sears for my alignment (vw golf) because it's done w/ lasers and i thought nothing could go wrong with technology. Installed new control arms and went to align the car. well after picking it up it was pulling to the side (crooked steering wheel). There is a 6 month warranty and we barely drive the car so I didnt go back right away. Went back 4 months later or so and first they declined to do it under their 6month/6000 miles because I had just installed new parts!!! Took some explanation to make them understand that i dont drive the car much and these parts were installed before the FIRST alignment.. Employee was super nice, but the "boss" (as he called him) not so. After I decide to just leave (Wasn't about to pay for a second alignment) the "boss" decided to take care of it.. I thank them nicely and an hour late I pick the car: STILL pulls to the right!!?? I dont feel like arguing with them so I post here

My truck was in serious need of an alignment service. The Sears Techs did a GREAT job and I would recommend their service

I brought my vehicle in for a tire rotation & left for lunch/shopping. I received a call about 20 mins later that I should also have a coolant flush & they would do it now. I declined since my vehicle was already scheduled elsewhere for it's regular servicing. I returned to pick up my vehicle about 2 hours later. The CSR said...oops...forgot to tell you you are out of alignment - do you want to do it now? No, I had other plans He assured me that I only need to return within the 6th month warranty window. I returned before the 6 months were out only to be told that the warranty was 6 months OR 6,000 miles. I asked to speak to the manager and successfully negotiated a price reduction to 1/2 price-1st because the CSR did not inform me of the alignment issue when he called to try to sell me the coolant flush and 2nd because he did not tell me about the 6,000 mi limit.

Service was great had to have it done three times, the last time a different tech got it right the first time!

Great group of mechanics! They go above and beyond and are very conscienscious!

LAST YEAR I GOT WENT TO ALBANY OREGON SEARS AUTOMOTIVE,TO GET ALIGMENT ON MY CAR TO GET A LONGER LIFE ON MY TIRES,I SHOULD NOT DO THAT,A MONTH LATER MY FRONT TIRES GOT WORE OUT FROM ONE SIDE,THEY DID VERY BAD WORK ON MY CAR,THATS A WASTE OF MY MONEY.

We will not charge if we find out your aligment is fine. That's was a perk up statement I was pleased to hear, just bought some brand new performance tire, even though my car seemed to drive straight, but the steering wheel was a little crooked. Well good news I needed an alignment and Sears Auto of Dayton Mall did an excellent job. Thanks Sears Auto Crew , Martin

We had our Honda CRV aligned at our trusted dealership (for the past 20 years). The car never drove right after that, they spent 9+ hours & still the car was drifting & pulling.Desperate we took it to Sears Auto center in Burlington VT. They proved that the Honda dealer alignment was extremely off & fixed our car. Finally we could drive our loved machine with confidence. We will no longer go to Honda, we will now go to Sears Auto, they guys there are honest & funny too!
