Like the white sands of Bali, this chime sparkles in the sunlight. Capiz are farmed in Indonesia and every bit is used. The pieces are carefully sorted, dried, sliced, shaped, sanded and dyed. Strung together with strong, invisible, nylon cord, the thin, flat translucent pieces provide luminous color. In the 1500s, capiz were used as windowpanes in houses; now they are used in all sorts of home decorations, including lamp shades and vases and (of course) windchimes. This wonderful capiz chime was hand-crafted with pride by craftsmen of Bali. Started in 1979, Woodstock Percussion is a family-owned business located in New York's Hudson Valley. Woodstock Chimes are precision tuned, high quality windchimes created by Grammy Award winning musician Garry Kvistad. Woodstock Percussion products are designed in New York State and manufactured around the world. Woodstock representatives visit the production facilities frequently to ensure their high standards are met; the facilities are clean and organized and the employees are paid fair wages while being treated with dignity and respect. Woodstock chimes are both kinetic and musical, performing beautifully without the need of fossil fuels. The result is simplicity and sustainability as they are powered by the wind which is the creation of the heat from the sun - the most sustainable of all energy. Woodstock has been creating chimes that are the choice of discerning customers for over 30 years.
