Find the Accessories You Need at Sears

Connecting up a new air conditioning system is easy if you have the right accessories right on hand. You will likely need several types of connectors to go around bends or hook into existing pipes. To make the project go smoothly, take a look at the intended positioning of the unit and buy your accessories in advance so you're all set to go when you get the machine.

A Watts Quick Connect coupling makes it easy to hook up to PVC, potable, PEX, copper, and CPVC pipes. With no tools needed, this is the quickest and easiest way to make the connection. It can even be reused. Watts also makes a wide variety of other connectors, like the Quick Connect M.I.P. 90 Elbow, T-shaped connectors, and female adapters. This makes it easy to get the perfect ones for every plumbing connection job. All Quick Connect connectors can be installed and removed with no tools at all. This makes them great for people who don want to have to buy a bunch of specialized wrenches for a one-time plumbing job.

When you absolutely must have a traditional metal connector, the B K Mueller products come to the rescue. Made of galvanized malleable iron with a brass seat inserted, these connector are good for use with metal piping. They are available in a wide range of diameters so you can be sure to find the one you need.

Connectors, of course, aren't the only things needed for installing HVAC equipment. Holding the pipes in place where they leave the wall can be just as important. A Stubout Bracket protects pipes from sudden movement and adds general stability to the system. This galvanized plate works with both metal and plastic piping.

By making sure to collect all of your connectors and other installation accessories before beginning a project, youl find that the process goes smoothly and easily. Make a list of everything you need before you shop, and you'll be sure you don't miss anything. That way you'll soon be enjoying your air conditioning system without any need to wait for more parts.
