Flare nut wrenches are specially designed for the multi-sided nuts often seen on plumbing tubes and automotive brake lines. These tools typically have four or more contact points and an open end to nearly surround the nut. Similar to a crescent wrench, it has more facets to reduce stripping and increase torque.
