Best Value and SUPER PICTURE
Plasma Sets are a better viewing experience becouse of the fast 600hz rate .Most lcd or led range from 60hz,120hz,240hz. Everything is broadcast in 720p so the only reason to pay more for a 1080p is to watch a blueray on a bluerayplayer. Have this unit for 2+ years and still LOVE IT.

Samsung Plasma Tv not worth the money
I bought this tv and the picture went out within the first two months. It took Samsung two months to replace the tv. After a year and a half the same thing has happened. I didn't buy the extra warranty, it cost as much as a new tv!! Won't buy Samsung products anymore!

Great TV out of the box...setup was easy. Picture and everything look great except sometimes the darks on some shows are a little too dark. Tried messing with the settings and it helped a little.

This tv is excellent. Has great picture and great sound. looks as good as any 1080p tv. Only $479 for this one. Samsung has it together when it comes to tv's and blu-ray players. I combined this tv with the samsung bd-5900 blu-ray player. This is heaven for $600 for both together. Great setup. I do recommend these products. Bought them at thanksgiving time 2012 and so far so good. Beware of the salesman in the sears store(Everett,WA) for he will try to make you feel like a fool for not purchasing a $175.00 extended warranty on the tv, he must get some kind of commission. GREAT PRODUCT PICTURE IS OUTSTANDING

This TV is a great value. Excellent picture and sound for the price. For its size; dollar for dollar is a great deal. 720P is good enough for 99.9% of tv viewing, only blue-ray play back has the 1080P. Why waste $100 or more for the 720P! Best for low light room.

My spouse is legally blind and has a vision of 20/400-has been watching an LG 42 inch and with special viewing glasses.--Can now make the faces out on this 51 inch a whole lot more and is clearer to her.

Awesome TV -- very pleased
The first factor that motivated us to buy this TV was the price -- it was a Black Friday deal at $479.99!! I don't even see smaller LCDs going for that cheap. We weren't sure whether we wanted a 720p Plasma, but now we're glad we got it. The picture is perfect after a few days of burning in (or so it appeared to me). I would never even know it was 720 except some of the screen fonts are a little rough around the curved edges. It's not a big deal to me. We had a media player with internet apps hooked up on our previous rear projection TV, so we weren't looking for a set that came with it pre-installed. I ordered this TV online on a Thursday night, and by Friday afternoon I received the email that it was at my local Sears ready for pick-up. Overall we are very happy with this purchase.
